Penelope Cruz In Chanel – ‘Pain And Glory’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

After attending the ‘Pain And Glory (Dolor Y Gloria/ Douleur Et Glorie)’ premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, Penelope Cruz returned to the red carpet for the film’s photocall at the festival on Saturday (May 18).

This patterned dress feels very in her wheelhouse, but what struck me was how the frock echoed the Chanel Spring 2002 Haute Couture gown she wore to the premiere.

This Chanel Resort 2020 dress doesn’t feel like a copycat look by any means but there is a connective thread between the patterns, nipped waists, full skirts and cap sleeves.

Focusing on her present outfit, she let the draped skirt be the focal point by removing the runway’s louder accessories.

Subtle bling, subdued sandals and a flash of scarlet nails were all the sophisticated style required.
