Penelope Cruz In Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture – 2018 Emmys After Party

Penelope Cruz In Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture - 2018 Emmys After Party

Following the 2018 Emmy Awards, Penelope Cruz attended the FOX Broadcasting Company, FX, National Geographic and 20th Century Fox Television 2018 Emmy Nominee Party on Monday (September 17) in LA.

A lot of Penelope’s all black Chanel looks have been labelled as ageing, but between the sheerness, the lace, asymmetrical hem and sensual ruffles, that is never going to happen with this Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2018 Haute Couture design.

I’m delighted to see so much flair from Penelope. Her recent looks have had me always wanting more.

I think a few of you nailed it when you said that Versace is a better fit for her.

Penelope Cruz attended the 2018 Emmy Awards on Monday (September 17) in LA.

As the actress broke her black-lace rut yesterday with a glorious teal gown, I was eager to see if she’d continue that form tonight.

And, she did. Sort of.

She was back to the Chanel label, but this Spring 2017 Haute Couture feathery frock was definitely a different direction that what we’ve seen recently.

The whimsical quality was undeniable, with her ponytail also lightening the mood and Atelier Swarovski by Penelope Cruz jewels added for good measure.

Penelope Cruz In Ralph & Russo - 'Loving Pablo' Special Screening

Penelope Cruz attended the ‘Loving Pablo’ special screening on Sunday (September 16) in West Hollywood, California.

If you’d started to worry that Penelope was lost in a series of uninspiring Chanel dresses, fear not, as Ralph & Russo came to her rescue on this occasion.

Granted this teal silk asymmetric Resort 2019 dress featuring a draped sleeve isn’t a ground-breaking design, but it doesn’t have to be.

It enhances Penelope’s beauty and breaks that style rut, so I for one, am very happy as another black lace dress – no matter what the label – would’ve sent me over the edge.

Compare this to any of her looks from last week and Penelope appears 20 years younger.

Don’t you agree?

It will likely come as no surprise that Penelope Cruz was dressed in two Chanel looks at the ‘Todos Lo Saben’ Madrid photocall and premiere on Wednesday (September 12) in Spain.

Photocall: Although her photocall look did rely on her go-to colour, I was grateful for the addition of the white striped motif to add a bit more dynamic quality to the black dress.

Premiere: Similar to her last two looks at the Toronto International Film Festival, I couldn’t really get enthused about this third run of black lace. And, I definitely was wishing for a more shapely silhouette to complement her figure.

Penelope Cruz mixed Haute Couture and ready-to-wear during Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of ‘Everybody Knows’ and Entertainment Weekly’s Must List Party on Saturday (September 8) in Canada.

‘Everybody Knows’ Toronto International Film Festival Premiere: I want to say this Chanel Spring 2018 Haute Couture black lace dress is pretty, which it is, but there was a strong feeling of déjà vu plus I found this to be a little matronly on Penelope.

Entertainment Weekly’s Must List Party: When it came to her second Chanel look from the Fall 2018 collection, I was even less enthused – as the colour was too drab for me. I was more excited about her ATELIER SWAROVSKI by Penelope Cruz Fine Jewelry, which she wore with both looks. Stuart Weitzman black suede ‘Nudist’ sandals and a Chanel clutch completed the look.
