Variety’s Annual Power Of Young Hollywood

Variety's Annual Power Of Young Hollywood

Hollywood’s best and brightest attended Variety’s Power of Young Hollywood event in West Hollywood on Tuesday (August 28), where the event honoured Amandla Stenberg, and Lili Reinhart was also awarded the second-ever Variety + H&M Conscious Award for her body positivity and mental health activism.

Amandla Stenberg: From boyish, to vixen in the space of 24 hours, Amandla showcases more than a slither of skin in this red hot Chromat Spring 2017 dress styled with matching Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. I don’t know about you, but I’m really enjoying her variety of looks.

Sofia Carson: The actress was serving up plenty of girlish flair wearing a Monique Lhuillier off-the shoulder LBD festooned with feathers for dramatic effect.

Joey King: The 19-year-old actress opted to go down a semi-sexy route with her Emporio Armani Pre-Fall 2018 suit by opting to go sans blouse, and I think she pulled the look off tastefully. A Tyler Ellis bag gave her look a more business-like touch with Jennifer Meyer jewels rounding out the look.

Variety's Annual Power Of Young Hollywood

Mackenzie Foy: The actress was a vision of romance in delicate lace and Poinsettia flowers which decorated her Rodarte Fall 2018 look which consisted of a bustier and maxi skirt.

Julianne Hough: I love how her dress is super girlie, yet maintains all the attributes of a power suit. The look was styled with EF Collection jewels and Adriana Iglesias’ ‘Grace’ pumps.

Rumer Willis: She has good days, she has bad days. This is a very bad day in August Getty Atelier.

Variety's Annual Power Of Young Hollywood

Maddie Ziegler: I love the mix of the sweet Kate Spade New York top with the ’80s inspired rock chick DROMe red leather skirt. Maddie might be still only 15-years-old, but her mature style is one to be admired. Jimmy Choo red pumps completed her look.

Lili Reinhart: It’s rare that I like a H&M red carpet dress, and that feeling didn’t change on this offering. The colour isn’t very inspiring, and the style isn’t doing anything for Lili which is a huge shame. Sara Weinstock earrings completed her look.

Kiersey Clemons: I love how this Saint Laurent mini dress pares-back its signature attitude and instead opts for a look of charming femininity.

Variety's Annual Power Of Young Hollywood

Sarah Hyland: While she’s wearing a beautiful Fendi Resort 2019 look, my focus was fully on her Malone Souliers ‘Flan’ sandals. Want, need, must have.

Ariel Winter: The actress kept things simple in an LBD, but as always, the look aged her.

Mackenzie by far from this group. She looks so lovely.

Sofia Carson is wearing Monique Lhuillier not YSL. https://moniquelhuillier.com/collections/dresses-1/products/illusion-dress-w-feather

Amandla’s dres is certainly interesting but it’s squashing her twins and I wish the gap between the two parts were smaller. Right now it’s like a bad two-piece.
Mackenzie is a doll in that dress
    Julianne looks fun.
    Rumer looks cheap
Ariel looks better than usual but still much older
    Sara’s sandals are indeed dope

Love Mackenzie Foy in that Rodarte!!! The best designer dress in the round up

Joey, Kersey and Sofia look great. Amandla, Lilli, Maddie, MacKenzie and Sarah are nice.
Julianne, Rumer and Ariel are awful.

I like Sofia’s outfit. The rest of them are either meh or no!

I don’t like that cut-out on Amandla it’s a bit much imo, but the colour is fab on her and everything else is on point. Mackenzie, Sofia, Julianne, Kiersey and Sarah’ shoes are my favs here. Not a bad roundup, only a few missed the mark.

Amanda’s dress is a bit tacky. Rumer looks terrible. I like Maddie’s outfit. Sarah’s sandals were the only high point of the look. The retro inspired print of Joey’s suit is interesting but the rest are just rather dull.

Love Amandla and Mackenzie (minus the bag) out of the bunch!

Love Amandla head to toe, Julianne ankles up and Sarah head to toe.

I’m not one to suggest someone is unattractive but gosh Rumor…there has to be better way to take so much attention off that chin.

Love Sofia and Kiersey’s Saint Laurent dresses and Joey’s Armani suit. Maddie’s skirt is cute but the top is stodgy.

Rumer looks a complete and total mess. Ariel looks like a Kardashian but at least her bits and pieces are covered up.

Don’t like Sarah or Lili’s outfits at all.

  15. Camilla August 29, 2018 at 14:20 #

Amandla’s dress is daring as heck and I’d be intrigued to know if it looks slip-prone in the flesh, but as photographed, it’s great.

Ariel’s looks seem to be straight off a Kardashian production line.

    Amandla looks amazing!!

    Joey looks nice too.

I want those lucious Pierre Hardy shoes too. Omg!!
