Front Row @ Versace Spring 2018

Many expected the front row of Versace’s Spring 2018 show to be celeb heavy, but tonight was all about celebrating an icon, so only a trios of stars were front and center.

I was very excited to be seated behind them.

Amber Valleta: I’m sure you’re thinking this tuxedo dress was a bit of a snooze, but this picture doesn’t tell the true story as the party was at the back. The open back was accented with chains for a true rock n’ roll Versace touch.

Charlene, Princess of Monaco: I have never been in the presence of royalty, so this was quite an honour. I was immediately captivated by how statuesque Charlene was. And even more so by her graceful manor and calming presence when the room felt so hectic. There was no diluting the spirit of Versace in this look, her highness perfected her ode to 80s Versace in a cut-out chainmail dress and biker jacket accented with silver medusa’s.

Lewis Hamilton: Now, it was 24 degree today – warmer in the venue – and Lewis was wearing a wool coat, cashmere sweater and leather trousers – not too dissimilar from those he wears on the racetrack. As a fellow weather cautious Brit who also travelled to Milan in leather jacket, I won’t judge Lewis too harshly, but you won’t be surprised to learn that after this picture he was quick to ditch the coat. His assistant/stylist shared that she pulled the look as she wanted something unique that no one else would’ve been wearing, before we shared a joke that sometimes you just have to suffer for a short period for fashion. Good to know that men share this sentiment too.
