2018 People’s Choice Awards

2018 People's Choice Awards

There was much to see at the 2018 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday (November 11) in Santa Monica, California, with celebrities joining Danai Gurira and Kat Graham.

Emeraude Toubia: The ‘Shadowhunters’ actress warmed up the red carpet in a creamy orange Solace London gown. Had it been a few shades darker, it would have really brought out her complexion.

Alisha Wainwright: Emeraude’s costar made an even bolder statement in striped Maggie Marilyn Resort 2019 with Atelier Swarovski jewels. I wish for a sleek bun or pony because the big hair and silhouette are creating a strong retro mood.

Mila Kunis: Always partial to a black dress, ‘The Spy Who Dumped Me’ actress was attired in Alex Perry. The Christian Louboutin ‘Degrastrass’ pumps added a magical touch.

2018 InStyle Awards

2018 InStyle Awards

Here is roundup of the other ladies who joined Lily Collins, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tracee Ellis Ross at the 2018 InStyle Awards on Monday (October 22) in LA.

Jennifer Aniston: Water is wet. The sky is blue. Jennifer Aniston is wearing a black dress.

Laverne Cox: The actress was channeling her inner Beyonce Knowles wearing a Johanna Ortiz Resort 2017 dress which oozed plenty of latin flare.

Storm Reid: Dressed in Preen by Thornton Bregazzi Resort 2019, this glittering confection was given a playful flourish thanks to her uber sweet afro puffs

Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018

Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018

We’ve already seen a number of beauties who attended the Green Carpet Fashion Awards Italia 2018 on Sunday (September 23) in Milan, Italy. But, that was only the beginning.

Donatella Versace: With a very Donatella look, as we’d expect, the designer wore a lemon-bright Atelier Versace embellished gown that featured all of her label’s signature sexy appeal and figure-hugging curves. Naturally, the matching platforms were part of the equation.

Cindy Crawford: Also putting the sultry impact of an Atelier Versace gown to work, the supermodel struck a pose in this design that was rendered in a lovely shade of teal — even if the spidery netting of the corset translated as a bit dated.

Hari Nef: I don’t think this Gucci gown has enough fringe. Anyone else?!

2018 Vogue Foundation Dinner

There were many more gorgeous ladies who attended the 2018 Vogue Foundation on Tuesday (July 3) in Paris during Haute Couture week, alongside Naomi Campbell and Emily Ratajkowski.

Liv Tyler: The actress gave us a preview of Givenchy’s upcoming Spring 2019 collection. The look seems to follow a black and white colourway that Clare Waight Keller has been favouring lately. There was plenty of glamour imbued thanks to the ruffles and red lip.

Virginie Ledoyen: The French actress was one of the few not to wear black or white at this event. I love the baby blue hue of her Prada dress which featured the brands signature embellishments.

Tracee Ellis Ross: The ‘Blackish’ star is the latest to rock Chanel look featuring a beret during Haute Couture Fashion Week. It’s making we wonder if the beret is going to be the headwear to be seen in this season.

Saint Laurent @ 2018 Met Gala

Six pretties. Six provocative Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello looks that were all about leggy twists on the LBD at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City.

Zoe Kravitz: The one starlet in the bunch with a long gown, this barely-there lace number still showed off plenty of leg. Her doorknocker earrings were gigantically glorious, and I had to smile at the bows—as if they could add any sweet innocence to the fully sexy look. With this dress, you may be reminded of Rihanna’s 2011 Met Gala moment in black lace.

Anja Rubik: Perhaps the feathered shoes were added as a nod to angel wings, but aside from that, this could be any galactic mini from the designer on any red carpet.

Kate Moss: I have no doubt some may be disappointed that this little black dress marked the first return of the supermodel to the Met Gala since 2009. The angel-feather shoulders do help a bit with the drama factor, but not by much.

Models @ The Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Models stormed the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party on Sunday (March 4) in Beverly Hills, California, with a range of head-turning looks—for better or worse.

Alessandra Ambrosio: The naked dress had another showing with this Ralph & Russo Couture embellished, sheer design, styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. There will be no doubt her body isn’t rocking, but I know eyes will be rolling at the complete transparency of the look.

Ashley Graham: This Rubin Singer gown featured a recognizable, slit-to-there silhouette, but it was the gleaming sheen that upped the ante. A swept-back hairstyle and Sophia Webster sandals completed the look.

Lily Aldridge: The golden-goddess look served Lily well in this Versace liquid-gold gown that had a certain chainmail effect. Christian Louboutin heels and Bvlgari jewels and bag finished her glamorously regal entrance.

The Fashion Awards 2017 Red Carpet Roundup

The long list of stars continued in full force at The Fashion Awards 2017 on Monday (December 4) in London.

Kaia Geber: I loved seeing the young model have some fun with the flirty nature of ruffles in this Ralph & Russo Spring 2018 two-piece, cold-shoulder look. It was style-forward, chic, and sweet at the same time. Messika jewels completed her look.

Adwoa Aboah: There was no sequin left unturned in this Halpern Spring 2018 sequin number, but it was the platform footwear that compromised its fresh potential.

Jourdan Dunn: The sultry seduction of the Versace label was fully celebrated in this orange gown. But I most loved the model’s gorgeous beauty look.

11th Annual God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards

Femmes came out in force for the 11th Annual God’s Love We Deliver Golden Heart Awards on Monday (October 16) in New York City. As Michael Kors was one of the co-chairs, there were a number of looks from the designer in the house.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Receiving the Michael Kors Award for Outstanding Community Service, the minimalist-loving actress upped the shine quotient in her sparkly Michael Kors Collection Spring 2018 sequin frock—and even gave us a rare look at wavy locks. You may remember seeing this dress on the Red Carpet Wish List for Michelle Pfeiffer.

Gabrielle Union: This Michael Kors Collection Spring 2018 suiting offered up a safari-chic twist on the menswear-inspired trend.

Kate Hudson: Oozing with pure and simple seduction, this custom crimson beaded asymmetrical Michael Kors Collection dress was a knockout on Kate. She really didn’t even need the contrast of the Jimmy Choo ‘Candy’ clutch to accessorize, as I love the way her nude pumps vanished from view and left her dress to take top billing.

Front Row @ Giorgio Armani Spring 2018

The front row of the Giorgio Armani Spring 2018 show on Friday (September 22) during Milan Fashion Week paid homage to the designer’s impeccable tailoring with suiting reigning supreme.

Amber Valletta: The model demonstrated suiting needn’t be stuffy with a grey one-button jacket and coordinating wide-leg trousers. Round-toe shoes echoed the relaxed fit of the grey suit. Although, I find myself missing a pointed-toe.

Princess Charlene of Monaco: Making another appearance at Milan Fashion Week, the Princess exuded elegance in shades of grey. A wrap top and cuffed trousers were topped with a dove grey trench. Warm grey accessories dabbled with different textures completed the outfit. It’s a shame about the creases on the pants, because this is neutrals and layering at their best.

Cate Blanchett:
The longtime Giorgio Armani fan and campaign star brought some colour to the FROW with her burgundy and white dogstooth pantsuit and coordinating checkerboard shirt. There are so many striking elements in the ensemble from the jacket’s structured shoulders to the witch-y boots, but my eyes are drawn to the quirky round glasses with statement brow bar.

Front Row @ Versace Spring 2018

Many expected the front row of Versace’s Spring 2018 show to be celeb heavy, but tonight was all about celebrating an icon, so only a trios of stars were front and center.

I was very excited to be seated behind them.

Amber Valleta: I’m sure you’re thinking this tuxedo dress was a bit of a snooze, but this picture doesn’t tell the true story as the party was at the back. The open back was accented with chains for a true rock n’ roll Versace touch.

Charlene, Princess of Monaco: I have never been in the presence of royalty, so this was quite an honour. I was immediately captivated by how statuesque Charlene was. And even more so by her graceful manor and calming presence when the room felt so hectic. There was no diluting the spirit of Versace in this look, her highness perfected her ode to 80s Versace in a cut-out chainmail dress and biker jacket accented with silver medusa’s.

Lewis Hamilton: Now, it was 24 degree today – warmer in the venue – and Lewis was wearing a wool coat, cashmere sweater and leather trousers – not too dissimilar from those he wears on the racetrack. As a fellow weather cautious Brit who also travelled to Milan in leather jacket, I won’t judge Lewis too harshly, but you won’t be surprised to learn that after this picture he was quick to ditch the coat. His assistant/stylist shared that she pulled the look as she wanted something unique that no one else would’ve been wearing, before we shared a joke that sometimes you just have to suffer for a short period for fashion. Good to know that men share this sentiment too.

Chanel Dinner Celebrating Lucia Pica & The Travel Diary Makeup Collection

Chanel-clad beauties came out for the Chanel dinner celebrating the brand’s global creative makeup and color designer Lucia Pica and the new Travel Diary Makeup Collection in Santa Monica, California on Wednesday (July 12).

Rowan Blanchard: There would be no question that the young starlet set out to have some fun with her youthful Chanel Fall 2017 outfit featuring a ‘Gabrielle Chanel’ tee and high-waist navy pinstripe trousers paired with bold-red Chanel toe-cap booties. Chanel’s ‘Gabrielle’ bag, Chanel Fine Jewelry ‘Coco Crush’ earrings, and the Chanel ‘Boy.Friend’ watch rounded her creatively inspired look. But none was more creative than the liberties taken with her Crayola-inspired, multi-colour eye shadow hues.

Yara Shahidi: While Yara often favours long-sleeve long dresses, she brought that same aesthetic to this Chanel Fall 2017 ruffle blouse and faded, boyfriend denim that she imbued with her signature cool flair. I love the cheekiness of the double Cs washed into the ’90s-inspired jeans as well as the polish of Yara’s styling including the Chanel booties, a Chanel bag, and Chanel Fine Jewelry ‘Coco Crush’ ear cuff and rings.

Sarah Staudinger: Also in Chanel, naturally, Sarah wore pastel separates mixed with a bubblegum-pink bag and granny-chic shoes—not to mention oversized hoop earrings. I’m not exactly sure what she was going for, but I couldn’t find much rhyme or reason to her quirky entrance.

Amber Valletta In Mulberry – ‘Wonderstruck’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Amber Valletta joined Michelle Williams and Julianne Moore for the ‘Wonderstruck’ premiere during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival today (May 18).

Mulberry isn’t a brand you really associate with red carpet looks, especially at Cannes, so I’m not surprised that I couldn’t find it in my heart to fall in love with Amber’s Fall 2017 – especially when I prefer the runway look.

Much like Robin Wright’s Saint Laurent look yesterday, this would make for a great party frock, but isn’t Cannes premiere worthy.

Where have all the go-big or go-home, BDOTY-worthy looks gone this year?

Is everyone saving them for the amfAR Gala?
