Panthere De Cartier Party

There were many stars to watch at the Panthere De Cartier Party in LA on Friday (May 5), which celebrated the relaunch of the Panthere timepiece.

Ashley Madekwe: There was something breathtaking about the fluidity of form in this Halston Heritage ensemble, which was chic minimalism at its finest.

Dakota Johnson: It doesn’t get more timeless than an LBD, especially this ladylike version from the Shaina Mote Spring 2017 collection, sophisticatedly styled with a J.W. Anderson ‘Pierce’ bag, Cartier watch, and Gucci sandals.

Sienna Miller: Also in a minimalist and monochromatic mood, Sienna wore a flowing silk champagne ensemble from The Row styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Marchavekel’ sandals and a Tod’s clutch. With the slip-inspired top and loose pants, some might see elegant PJs, but it was still an effortlessly beautiful look.

Sofia Boutella: I love the way the embossed lace tempered the graphic lines of this Burberry design. I just wish she had opted for a sleeker bun on this occasion to suit the dress.

Kirsten Dunst: Hopping aboard the wide-leg trousers trend, Kirsten paired hers with the structure of a partially unbuttoned dress shirt along with a pop of red in her lipstick and heels. It was a refined interplay of masculine and feminine styling.

Miranda Kerr
: The glories of minimalism and monochrome continued with this creamy white August Getty Atelier number whereby the sassy mini-dress received a sophisticated finish with the tailoring of her top coat, chicly flung over her shoulders. The perfection of her styling continued with Tamara Mellon ‘Frontline’ metallic sandals, a Jimmy Choo clutch, and Cartier jewelry.

Lily Collins: There were many classic red lips at the event, but Lily’s was the quintessential version. She also wore a little black dress, hers an asymmetric one by Markarian NYC with tonal beading. I just wish the plunge hadn’t been quite so low.

Poppy Delevingne
: Poppy must not have received the minimalist memo, as her Roberto Cavalli Spring 2017 ensemble was the exact opposite in its loud animal print and brash bra-flaunting appeal.

Olivia Culpo
: Olivia dressed her Balmain Fall 2016 LBD with a long striped robe for an added sense of boudoir drama.

Haley Bennett: This Prada shirred black dress had a vintage allure, which Haley echoed in her retro styling.

Pom Klementieff: I love Pom’s modern take on the tuxedo dress in this Vanessa Seward Fall 2017 design styled with rows of pendant necklaces and Jimmy Choo ‘Lucy’ gold pumps.

Courtney Eaton: Not only did the sheen of the fabric compromise this Monse Fall 2017 dress, Courtney’s styling was doing it no favours. The silver clutch and heavy booties were simply at odds with the look.

The minimally chic sweethearts—Ashley, Dakota, Sienna, and Miranda—were easily at the top of the list for me. Who had your favourite look?
