Andrea Riseborough In Escada – 2015 SAG Awards

Andrea Riseborough attended Sunday’s (January 25) 2015 SAG Awards, hosted at the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.

The ‘Birdman’ actress stayed true to her love of green hues and wore a sea green version of an Escada Pre-Fall 2015 design with a Swarovski clutch.

After such red carpet success like this metallic and feather design, it’s a disappointment to see the ‘Birdman’ actress looking not her best in this gown.

I can appreciate Andrea’s bold choice with an unusual colour and architectural bow detail at the halter neckline, but I wish the gown was enhancing versus masking her figure.

I applaud Andrea’s tricky and brave style choice–that’s what fashion is all about, after all–but I don’t love the end result. What’s your take?

I’m giving her a pass here. After the last few ghastly outings, I’ll take being underwhelmed versus being scared.

I actually like the dress for her, but the styling is awful.

    She looks really washed out.

I’d rather not. The fit is bad, the creases are a shame, the colour washes her out and the bag doesn’t belong.

She looks beautiful and this is much better than her previous failed look.

Methinks Andrea and Patricia Arquette share the same stylist, because both keep wearing Escada.

Andrea needs to contact Jessica Paster and RETURN.

I love the color, but I think the waistline should’ve been just a bit higher (i.e. her natural waist). Then the blousing wouldn’t come off so frumpy.

I like the colour but the styling really lets it down.

    Only like the color.

It’s the first time I like a look from Andrea in a long time.

This color is terrible, and the dress and accessories give a very dated feel.

I love the design and colour of this gown, and I am sure it moves beautifully. It is very 30’s vintage in style but I think her makeup is letting it down and washing her out. She definitely needed some colour rather than the grey/lilac tones she is wearing which makes her features blend rather than stand out. Shame as a stylist should think that about that, surely?

The colour of choice for Jewish matrons in their 70ies attending a wedding at Boca Raton, Florida.
A more fitted bodice would have improved this rather dull dress.
It is a NO for me.

The color washes her out. Maybe better makeup could fix it but hers only washes her out even more.

    I absolutely love this.

She looks much better than her last outing. This is a nice color on her, but I am more drawn to the rich hue color in the lookbook
