Rita Ora for Escada Spring 2019

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Rita Ora for Escada Spring 2019

Rita Ora has been unveiled as the face of Escada’s Spring 2019 campaign, starring the label’s ‘Heart’ bag.

Are you as surprised as I am?

There is no doubt that Rita looks great in this campaign. I love the bold colours and the “strong woman” moto reflects both her style and persona.

InStyle And Warner Bros. Golden Globes After Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features InStyle And Warner Bros. Golden Globes After Party

The InStyle and Warner Bros. 76th Annual Golden Globe Awards Post-Party on Sunday (January 6) in Beverly Hills, California, was the most attended party last night, so strap in for the 41 looks.

Rowan Blanchard: There are many of you who haven’t been able to get on board with Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2019 ruffles. This crinkle organza multi layer dress was a tall order for the petite star, but with her new pixie hair, Buccellati jewels and confident attitude, she pulls this off for me, even though I’m not fan of her Roger Vivier sandals.

Kiki Layne: The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actress swapped her Dior for Valentino, wearing sparkling tiered whimsy dress from the Spring 2019 collection. This is another dress which may see you divided, but I think she carries if off with great aplomb.

Tina Fey In Escada – 2018 Drama Desk Awards

Tina Fey made a head-turning arrival on the red carpet for the 2018 Drama Desk Awards on Sunday (June 3) in New York City.

I adore this modern spin on this classic suit which hails from Escada Resort 2019 collection.

Imagined in a large-scale check with a structural fit, she opted not to test the waters with anything bold that would clash. Instead she carried a Mark Cross ‘Sara’ bag in a chambray-blue hue.

This feels like such a bold choice for Tina. I’m glad it paid off for her.

Helen Mirren In Escada & Sachin & Babi – L’Oreal Paris Canadian Women of Worth Awards Gala

To say I’m exhausted after the fashion extravaganza of the Oscars weekend would be putting it mildly.

I was just about to start on the best dressed poll to close the week when I saw Dame Helen Mirren.

The British actress attended the L’Oreal Paris Canadian Women of Worth Awards on Thursday (March 8) in Toronto, Canada, in celebration of International Women’s Day.

The colours, oh the colours, of this Escada and Sachin & Babi look hit me like I was having a vitamin B12 shot – as a result, I’m fully awake.

I love how the look appears informal until, then the skirt gives this outfit a modern fairytale ending.

Styled with a Judith Leiber clutch, hot pink Michael Kors shoes and ‘Malachite Deco’ statement earrings by Tory Burch, this is the grand dame at her very best.

Maria Dragus In Aquascutum & Escada & Christian Dior – ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ San Sebastian Film Festival Premiere

Maria Dragus turned heads day and night at the San Sebastian Film Festival. First, attending the ‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ photocall on Monday (September 25). Later that day, the German-Romanian actress wowed at the film’s premiere.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Photocall: Opting for a dark colour palette, Maria wore a knee-length Escada skirt combined with a black Aquascutum jumper. The vivid tones of the whimsical appliqués were enhanced by the floral embroidery in the Christian Louboutin boots. I appreciate the way the shoes tied in the detail, but find their light colour distracts slightly from the rest of the look. The Dior bag and Jane Koenig earrings offered a more cohesive finish.

‘Light/Mademoiselle Paradis’ Premiere: Lighting up the red carpet, Maria donned a vivid Dior dress with lace overlay. The gown’s colour and lace fabric captivated, but it was the thin straps on the bodice that struck me. Black accessories, including Rene Caovilla shoes and a chain-strap Dior bag, contrasted the ruby dress.

2017 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party

In advance of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Entertainment Weekly hosted its Pre-Emmy Party on Friday (September 15) in West Hollywood, California.

Sophia Bush: This red Stella McCartney body-skimming dress with car wash slits held potential, but I wish the styling had been more complementary. A tonal red sandal like the Edie Parker clutch would have provided a more streamlined effect but I would have stopped the red at the makeup—red eye shadow is always a tough look to pull off.

Padma Lakshmi: The ‘Top Chef’ host also went bold with the eye shadow, hers an intense shade of violet. However, her sultry Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2018 floral-embroidered dress commanded enough attention on its own. I love that she didn’t resort to black pumps, but I’m wishing for a sandal here.

Mandy Moore
: With a shiny new play on an LBD, the ‘This Is Us’ actress donned a Sally LaPointe Pre-Fall 2017 sequin dress styled with Sophia Webster shoes and a red Jimmy Choo clutch. The style-forward edge of the turtleneck sweater piece grew on me, although at first, I did want to remove it.
