2014 amfAR Milano 2014 Red Carpet Roundup

2014 amfAR Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from the 2014 amfAR Gala held during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday (September 20).

Alessandra Ambrosio: Like Heidi Klum, Alessandra wore Versace, adding yet more va-va-voom to this red carpet. The sexy black beaded gown with a thigh-high slit was styled with an Elena Ghisellini clutch. You may remember that Freida Pinto wore this same gown back in 2012.

Coco Rocha: As always, everything comes to a grinding halt when Coco Rocha takes to the red carpet. Working a bold-shouldered Versace look, the model sashayed down the red carpet like the seasoned pro she is.

Bianca Brandolini D’Adda: The socialite wore a delightful Giambattista Valli Fall 2014 Couture ladylike look consisting of a long-sleeved top rendered with delicate florals and a black and white skirt accented with a yellow waistband. Very chic and thoroughly modern.

Moran Atias: As we’ve seen during Venice Film Festival, Moran can do much better than this Emilio Pucci backless offering styled with Casadei footwear and a Zagliani clutch.

Bar Refaeli: The model looked beautiful and statuesque wearing a Stella McCartney Spring 2014 mini frock; however, I do appreciate a gown more at a gala.

Toni Garrn: The model also wore a short blue Stella McCartney frock, hers hailing from the Pre-Fall 2014 collection styled with black ankle strap Alexandre Birman pumps and a Lee Savage clutch. The well-worn look is tired by this point. She can do so much better for such a glamorous occasion. I’m very underwhelmed by this outing.

Izabel Goulart: The models Emilio Pucci gold embroidered tulle long-sleeve gown with a plunging neckline from the Fall 2014 collection was much more like it. This is a gown worthy of a gala. You may remember that Leighton Meester wore this to the Met Gala this year.

Wow, this is bad. Sorry, but I love none of this. Coco looks quite impressive, but other people wore white gowns ago much better and what’s with that face and hairstyle?!
Bianca’s dress looks a little bit off to me and the hairstyle is too messy for such a busy look.
    Moran looks okay but boring.
Bar and Toni look okay, too, but Toni’s dress makes me feel like it was already worn a million times before and I can’t really appreciate a mini-dress for a gala.
And while Izabel made it to a gown, the necklace (what’s this necklace even doing there?) and the hairstyle (fallen out of bed and swapped it back a little) make it look like hippie-chic.
Alessandra looks good, but I’m missing a little bit color. Freida Pinto looked, like, very much better in it.
This one of the worst dressed events since long imo.

Bianca and Coco are my favorites here, both look fabulous.

I like the mermaid style gown in the post, envy them for having such great figures.

I’m sorry, but I’m pretty much to the point where I can’t look at Coco Rocha’s face without cracking up, or saying “oh honey, no.”

There’s no denying that she is a fierce model, and can wear the heck out of a dress. But the faces she pulls, and her makeup jobs as of late are rapidly approaching cartoonish.

You’re Coco Stinkin’ Rocha. You do not need Zoolander’s Blue Steel. Stop trying so hard!!

In this bunch, Bianca wins for me. Gorgeous dress, perfectly styled. Not overblown, not “look at me i’m sexxxxxy,” just a beautiful, unusual dress, everything else kept simple, and done very well.

Coco’s dress is gorgeous. I just hate her hair and makeup.

    Biana is my favourite here.

My favourite here is Bianca – despite it not being a gown, it’s just such a gorgeous piece, and I love the contrast between the intricate appliqued flowers and the modern lines of the skirt. She carries it off perfectly.

Coco is fierce, whatever she wears, but I hate that haircut.

    Alessandra – dated and boring.

Izabel wears the dress better than Leighton, it’s more flattering with a true waistline.

The two Stella McCartney dresses are better than most of the designer’s offerings, but still entirely out of place at such an event.

I really like Coco’s gown but her head looks like a box. Not a fan of that haircut.

    • Kate September 23, 2014 at 05:45 #

I agree. Coco looks fabulous; but I can’t get past her hair.

  8. Nicky September 22, 2014 at 22:14 #

A million times yes to Coco Rocha. She always brings her A game. Alessandra seems to be stuck in a rut. I also love Izabel Goulart, she wears it much better than Leighton Meester.

Who Wore it Better? Freida Pinto wore the same Versace gown as Alessandra two years ago to the 2012 Cannes Film Festival Opening Dinner.

    Alessandra bores me to death.

  11. Nat39 September 22, 2014 at 21:18 #

Not wowed by anyone. Alessandra and Bianca of the bunch.

  12. liz September 22, 2014 at 20:05 #

whatttt coco looks like a clown with that makeup

  13. julyol1972 September 22, 2014 at 19:49 #

Coco slayed it, per usual! Don’t like either of the two Stella McCartney offerings – too casual for a gala. Everyone else looked okay.

  14. Christine September 22, 2014 at 19:40 #

Coco is shutting it down!! Izabel look good too. Bar looks smoking!

  15. Phoenix September 22, 2014 at 19:36 #

I find Biancas look very refreshing. I really like this dress.

  16. Yeliz September 22, 2014 at 19:28 #

Bianca and Izabel are my favourites of the bunch. I also like Bar’s look but agree that it’s not enough for the amfAR Gala.

  17. gabis September 22, 2014 at 19:25 #

Allessandra Ambrosio is my fave. I like Izabel’s dress and shoes but the dated hairstyle and the necklace ruined it for me. By the way, didn’t ‎Leighton Meester wear that same dress for this year’s MET Gala?

  18. carly September 22, 2014 at 19:18 #

leighton meester wore the same gown as izabel to the met gala

  19. DorianGray September 22, 2014 at 19:13 #

I LOVE Coco’s Versace dress. It has an 80s vibe but in a good way (sort of Jackie Collins). Alessandra and Bianca Brandolini look good too. I like Bar too but not for a gala.
