Oscar de la Renta @ 2024 Met Gala

Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim dressed five celebrities for the 2024 Met Gala on Monday.

Even though I wanted sharper peaks on the bodice of Kerry Washington’s Oscar de la Renta gown, I swooned when I saw the rich purple hue.

The crazy thing is, it’s even more intense when you see the gown under natural lighting on her Instagram.

I think I’m slowly becoming a year-round-velvet-loving kinda girl.

This made my heart skip several beats, even though I wasn’t 100% sold on the hairstyle.

It appears that Kylie Jenner was in quiet era, which isn’t her usual M.O. for the Met Gala, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this Oscar de la Renta strapless gown.

It’s still very much in her wheelhouse minus the attention-seeking element.

Lauren Sanchez was quoted as saying that every sketch she received for her Met Gala dress had a very low neckline, which shouldn’t have been a surprise to her considering that has been her signature style.

However, Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim elevated her look with this black velvet corset Oscar de la Renta gown featuring a stained-glass-looking voluminous skirt resembling a mosaic art garden.

This was one of the most striking looks of the night.
