Jessica Simpson arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City to appear on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ to promote her new show, ‘The Price of Beauty’.

The singer wore the same L’Wren Scott Spring 2010 fuschia lace dress which Reese Witherspoon wore last year.

Reese had the good sense to shorten the dress as she’s not as tall as the model to carry off this length, but Jessica didn’t.

As a result the dress sits at a very awkward length.

Taking the dress up a few inches would’ve made a whole lot of difference.

She added a black sash to nip her in at the waist separating the top half of the dress from the bottom, which I thought was a great touch as she’s a busty girl.

The black pumps did work for me on this occasion.

In the interview Letterman of course asks her about John Mayer Playboy interview to which she replies, “Normally you’d think someone you care about would keep those intimate details to himself,” she said. “It was definitely a compliment, in a way. I don’t really want people to know that about me. I’m like the good girl, then that happened.”

Before Camilla Belle my red carpet favourite was Jennifer Morrison, as she always looks so elegant on the red carpet.

We don’t see her as often on the red carpet, but she recently attended the after party for the Broadway opening of “The Miracle Worker” at Crimson in New York City.

She opted for a white Bottega Veneta Spring 2010 chiffon dress with a shimmering nude origami knot detail.

On the runway the knot detail stands strong. On Jennifer it falls a little flat.

I feel like her stylist played with it too much and the detail ending up losing it’s mojo, which is very unfortunate as this is a stunning dress.

I do however love her strappy sandals and Bottega Veneta clutch which perfectly complement the look.

Talented young actress Dakota Fanning also walked the red carpet for “The Runaways” LA premiere last night.

Like Jennifer Aniston at The Bounty Hunter” London premiere yesterday night, Dakota also wore Valentino Couture.

It looks these ladies will are both becoming brand ambassadors, as Dakota is developing a love for Valentino.

For this event Dakota wore a silver sequin embroidered Valentino Fall 2009 Couture mini dress.

I’m kinda glad the dress was modified to remove the feathered shoulder detail, as it may have overwhelmed Dakota.

Her modification makes the dress simpler and suits her relaxed non fussy style.

From a distance her pumps look black, but they are actually Ferragamo pewter python heels which complement her dress perfectly.

Her make-up is light and fresh, with her hair sleek straight.

There is nothing I don’t like about this look. Definitely a BDOTW contender.

Regulars readers know that if I like something, I like something and if I don’t I don’t, no matter who the celebrity is.

I was delighted to see Kristen Stewart looking very happy on the red carpet at the LA “The Runaways” premiere last night.

She surprised me by wearing this Doo.Ri Spring 2010 dress, because this dress appears to be everything I think Kristen would hate: cute, bubblegum pink and girlie.

I’m equally surprised that I liked her in this dress, because for the first time in a long time she looked happy on the red carpet and comfortable in her own skin.

Confidence is half the attraction, and Kristen had that last night despite not being in her comfort zone wearing this dress.

I still think she would look great in menswear-inspired looks like Evan Rachel Wood, but this look gets a thumbs up from me.

The only downside is that her stylist let her down with the boring black peep-toes. AGAIN.

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the Bravo’s Upfront Party in New York City on Wednesday night.

The “Sex And The City” star was joined by husband Matthew Broderick.

She wore a Stella McCartney Spring 2010 nude lace dress with a scalloped hem.

Her dress was paired with a white Stella McCartney blazer and multiple layered necklaces and bracelets.

I loved the look. It’s perfect to get us into a spring time mood, but those heels.

Yikes.

Nude, silver, taupe, even white…anything but black.

I also find the black bag to be distracting with this look.

I don’t believe Patricia Fields would’ve styled this look with black pumps.

With Thandie Newton seemingly retired from the red carpet, I’ve been looking for someone to take her place.

Thandie always gave us nothing but 100% perfection on the red carpet. She was consistent, elegant, sophisticated, chic and not afraid to wear unknown designers.

Zoe Saldana has taken the baton from Thandie and run both hard and fast with it.

She introduced us to Prabal Gurung and has lit up every red carpet she’s graced.

She was our red carpet queen of 2009 and shows no sign of slowing down in 2010.

My favourite look of Awards Season was her Givenchy Couture Oscar dress.

She showed no fear in this gown. I love her for that and making many of our red carpet dreams come true.

The Oscars can often be a bit of an anti-climax as everyone goes safe, but Zoe stepped up and took first prize.
