Kristin Scott Thomas In Bottega Veneta – ‘Darkest Hour’ New York Premiere

Kristin Scott Thomas made a return to the red carpet for the ‘Darkest Hour’ New York premiere on Wednesday (November 15).

Elegance is word we always associate when it comes to Kristin’s style and that was most definitely the case with her Bottega Veneta Fall 2017 dress.

Infused with velvet detailing for the most intriguing contrast, this black LBD makes quite a dramatic statement.

Erin O’Connor celebrates receiving her MBE in Giles & Erdem

It was a very proud moment for Erin O’Connor who was honoured with an MBE for her services to fashion and charity yesterday (November 15), at an Investitures ceremony held at Buckingham Palace in London.

Investitures ceremony: Marrying formal elegance with plenty of style, the model wore Giles Deacon custom made coat. While the opulent detailing and military influences are apparent, the ruffles and peplum gives her coat a ladylike air. I’m sure the Queen was also rather taken by Erin’s veiled fascinator.

MBE Party: I love how Erin co-ordinated her MBE badge to her Erdem Spring 2018 brocade dress. Few could make those embellished opera gloves work, but as I often associate opera gloves with high status and a vintage era, they couldn’t have been a more perfect match to her look. When it comes to the printed pumps, I can’t say the love extends to this piece. But she looks fabulous as always.

Lea Michele In Yanina Couture – HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Lea Michele was one of the stylish stars in attendance at the HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards event on Wednesday (November 15) in West Hollywood, California. She joined Nina Dobrev and Kate Bosworth.

The actress has been favoring darker colours recently, and the theme continued with this sharp-shouldered Yanina Couture Fall 2017 ensemble.

The pointed shoulders against the tulle-trimmed hem were a captivating contrast. The cascading embellishment heightened the mix of hard and soft elements.

Another successful juxtaposition was the bare legs against the high neckline, which lightened the outfit for a flattering effect.

Camilla Belle In Ralph Lauren – The Fred Hollows Foundation Gala Dinner

Camilla Belle showed her support at the Fred Hollows Foundation gala dinner on Wednesday (November 15) in Hollywood, California.

We’ve seen a few gowns crafted out of liquefied-look fabric recently, but the actress’s Ralph Lauren dress took things further with the patent bodice enhancing the silky base. The result was a sophisticated sultry ensemble.

She styled the ravishing red number with Giampiero Bodino jewels and Stuart Weitzman sandals which brought the shine level up further.

Kate Bosworth In Antonio Marras – HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Every time Kate Bosworth has stepped out recently, I have been dazzled by how she experiments with different styles, but still presents a cool, effortless mix.

She did not let me down at the HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards event on Wednesday (November 15) in West Hollywood, California, where she joined Nina Dobrev.

‘The Long Road Home’ actress wore an Antonio Marras Spring 2018 dress. The ankle-length style had a sweet vintage feel courtesy of the gathered sleeves and beaded neckline.

What struck me was how the frock played with texture with the appliqués strewn across the translucent base. The gathers down the front added even more dimension, as did her velvet accessories.

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – ‘The Shape Of Water’ LA Premiere

Octavia Spencer looked joyful at ‘The Shape Of Water’ LA premiere on Wednesday (November 15).

The actress donned a Tadashi Shoji Spring 2018 dress that was brimming with romantic details. The V-neckline was complemented with the flared sleeves and shoulder cut-outs for a gorgeous face-framing effect.

Irene Neuwirth jewels brought the eye to the neckline and to Octavia’s smile.

The runway version of the frock had a sweet charm courtesy of the stripes and muted colours. The red one retained the feel, but made a bolder statement.

I’m not sure whether it was intentional or not, but the fiery frock also mimicked the one in the film’s poster.

Which version of the dress do you prefer?
