Michelle Obama attended the BET’s ‘Black Girls Rock!’ event at NJ Performing Arts Center on Saturday (March 28) in Newark, New Jersey where she received a standing ovation for her powerful, inspirational speech.
After wearing so much colour and prints during her tour of Asia last week, some might be relieved that the First Lady opted for a white, off-the-shoulder, knee-length dress from Zac Posen’s Fall 2015 collection, which marries classic elegance with contemporary design.
I love how the bustier gives this look a hint of sex appeal and the styling of the look, which included silver jewels and pumps, complemented the delicate embellishments on her frock.
I’m sure there will be some debate about her shoulders being on display, but I think she looks undeniably chic from head to toe and even as a lover of colour and print, I think this look beats all of her looks from the Asian tour.
