Miranda Kerr’s Met Gala Hair Was All About Glaze Shine
Celebrity hairstylist Ericka Verrett was the woman behind Miranda Kerr’s Met Gala look, creating a luminous half-up style inspired by the freshness of spring and the delicate beauty of Lily of the Valley flowers. While Miranda’s white Dior gown delivered plenty of drama, the hair brought a softer counterpoint.

“The inspiration was springtime freshness, like Lily of the Valley – light, airy, and softly undone, with natural movement that feels effortless, like the first warm day of the season,” Ericka explained.
The foundation of the look started with Glaze Supergloss in Sheer Glow. Applied to clean, damp hair and left to process for 10 minutes, the treatment created the kind of reflective finish usually associated with a fresh salon appointment. Beyond shine, the formula helps boost colour, improve softness and add hydration, leaving hair looking healthier and feeling smoother for up to 10 washes.
After rinsing, Ericka layered Glaze MirrorGlaze Super Sleek Shine Spray through the mid-lengths and ends before blow-drying with a round brush. This step was all about amplifying shine while controlling frizz and protecting the hair from heat styling. The formula also helps shield hair from humidity, making it particularly useful for keeping styles looking fresh throughout a long event.
Once the hair was dry, Ericka refined the shape using a flat iron and round brush technique, creating softness and movement without losing the glossy finish. The hair was then swept into a loose half-up style, allowing the lengths to flow naturally behind Miranda’s shoulders.
On a night when bold beauty statements often dominate the conversation, Miranda’s approach proved that exceptional shine can be just as impactful.
