Celebrities in Gucci for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards

Demna dressed three nominees in Gucci for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, delivering three very different outcomes, each firmly rooted in the wearer rather than the house alone.

Soft Focus

Elle Fanning loves a waist defining moment, and Demna delivered with this custom Gucci gown featuring a deep V neckline and a degradé of floral petals and fringed detailing, finished with crystal and multi coloured beading. Yes, there may be a sense of familiarity in the silhouette and palette, especially recalling her Armani Privé Cannes gown and her continued run of pale blue tones this year, but this still worked beautifully. The fit was precise, the surface detail rich, and the overall effect suited her perfectly. Cartier jewels completed the look.

Va Va Voom

Nominee for Best Podcast for Call Her Daddy, Alex Cooper opted for a custom black sequinned Gucci bustier dress with a croco effect finish. The look immediately called to mind Scarlett Johansson at the Jurassic World Rebirth Berlin premiere, but this version leaned harder into glamour with the shimmering effect. It was unapologetically sexy and well pitched for Alex, delivering exactly the level of impact this moment required.

Tailoring Wins Again

Hamnet nominee Paul Mescal and Gucci remain one of the strongest partnerships on the red carpet, and the shift in creative direction has not disrupted that rhythm. His custom Gucci suit, styled with a cummerbund, custom black leather boots, and a Cartier pin, felt assured as always. This was elegance with intent and clarity, and one of my favourite Mescal x Gucci moments to date, which is saying something given how high that bar already is.
