‘The Cannes Diaries’ with shoescribe.com

My best dressed from day 3 in association with shoescribe.com was Berenice Bejo who wore a stunning Alexis Mabille Couture cream gown with a navy tuxedo jacket. I just fell in love with the uniqueness of the look.

She inspired two shoe choices.

These navy-and-beige suede Alexandre Birman sandals with reptile leather because they not only mix colours, but also textures much like Berenice’s look.

My second selection was these blue crocodile-print Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps because they are sleek, stylish and modern with a sharp heel much like Berenice’s sharply tailored jacket.

Samantha Barks In Christian Dior – ‘Le Passe’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Samantha Barks glided down the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals for the premiere of ‘Le Passé’ during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in France this evening.

The ‘Les Mis’ actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2013 look.

Sticking to her favoured all-black, Sam’s skirt, which was styled with a cashmere sweater, is considerably longer to the just-above-the ankle length versions we saw on the runway, giving a more glamorous feel to her look.

Inspired by the runway styling, Sam wore her hair back in a tight bun with a pop of colour coming via her lips.

As she took to the steps, you could see her black Dior pumps with a gold cuff completing her look.

I think I might be coming down with something, as the minimalistic trend is really winning me over this year.

Berenice Bejo In Alexis Mabille Couture – ‘Le Passe’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

As the star of the movie, Berenice Bejo took center stage on the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals for the premiere of ‘Le Passé’ during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in France this evening.

My first words were “J’Adore”.

Starting to grow ever so slightly weary of predictable gowns (especially when worn over and over again by the same person) this was a breath of fresh air.

The French beauty wore an ever so memorable Alexis Mabile Spring 2013 gown.

I love her version of this look which features a navy double-breasted tailored blazer with satin lapels over an ivory strapless bustier gown with a lace tiered skirt.

The juxtaposition of the masculine-and-feminine sets my senses tingling to the top of my finger tips.

We have seen some great gowns at Cannes, but this was really a “wow” moment for me.

A super slicked back ponytail, Monique Pean grey ombré fossilized walrus ivory-and-smokey quartz geometric oval earrings with white diamond pavé and a quirky Olympia Le-Tan book clutch completed her look.

Sara Forestier In Giambattista Valli Couture – ‘Le Passe’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Sara Forestier took to the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals for the premiere for ‘Le Passé’ during the 2013 Cannes Film Festival in France this evening.

The French actress selected an on-trend black-and-white frock from the Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 Couture collection.

Her unique above-the-knee white dress with a double layered skirt and black velvet appliqués was styled with a delightful pair of ruby red t-bar pumps; however, I would have sacrificed those amazing pumps for a better hairstyle.

I’m not a fan of the limp ‘do with this gorgeous frock.

Doutzen Kroes In Atelier Versace – ‘Le Passe’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Doutzen Kroes looked breathtaking on the red carpet this evening for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Le Passe’ held at Palais des Festivals in France.

The Cannes regular and L’Oreal ambassador wore a gorgeous Atelier Versace Fall 2012 gown.

My first reaction to this was, thank god she didn’t pull from the Spring 2013 collection.

In typical Versace fashion, her ultra sexy gown featured a side slit and revealing cut-out detail.

Sultry just-got-out-of-bed tresses, barely there makeup and Versace blush coloured platform sandals completed her look.
