Holland Roden In Catherine Deane - HBO’s Emmy Awards Post-Awards Reception

Following her appearance on the red carpet for the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, ‘Teen Wolf’ actress Holland Roden was back on the red carpet on Monday (August 25) night for HBO’s Official 2014 Emmy After-Party held at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles, California.

Looking beautiful and ethereal wearing a Catherine Deane Resort 2015 seafoam-hued gown kissed with antique lace, the look was styled with stud earrings and a Rafe New York clutch.

Working metallic-green eye makeup and an on-trend side-swept purposely messy braid, she completed her look with a nude shimmering lip.

This colour couldn’t be more divine against her skin and her hair colouring.

Malin Akerman In Martin Grant - HOB's Emmy Awards Post-Awards Reception

Malin Akerman attended HBO’s Annual Primetime Emmy Awards Post-Awards Reception held at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center on Monday (August 25) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a black and red dress from Australian-born designer Martin Grant.

This may be a dress from seasons past – Fall 2011 – but what makes it a current and successful outing lies within its block-style design.

Malin’s dress features a plunging neckline and a pleated skirt with a free-spirited feel.

Thinking smartly when it came to the accessories, she added a red satin Giuseppe Zanotti clutch, Jacquie Aiche earrings and a Tito Pedrini ring.

A super-sleek updo and contrasting hot-pink lip rounded out this very sexy, sophisticated look, seeing the actress back at her very best.

Louise Roe in Monique Lhuillier - 2014 Emmy Awards

Here are the final three looks from the Emmys red carpet on Monday evening (August 25), from those ladies who asked that all-important question: “Who are you wearing?”

Louise Roe: The British TV star and journalist was my favourite of the bunch. With her statuesque model height and beauty, she was radiant wearing a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014 floral-brushstroke-printed strapless tufted ball gown. Impeccably styled, as we would expect from Louise, she accessorized with Monique Lhuillier ‘Avril’ coral slingbacks, an Edie Parker ‘Minnie’ nude pearl and gold confetti clutch and Martin Katz jewels.

2014 Emmy Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

While the constellation of actresses on the scene at the 2014 Emmy Awards had all of us focused on the range of red-carpet gowns and glam, there was plenty more eye candy to be had with the men in the mix at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California on Monday night (August 25).

Matthew McConaughey: Not one to ever be a shrinking violet, the ‘True Detective’ actor and nominee suited up in a bold blue Dolce & Gabbana three-piece suit with contrasting black lapels, paired with Christian Louboutin ‘New Orleans’ flats, and a Bulgari watch and cufflinks. Was it my favourite look of his? Perhaps not. It even drew ‘A Night at the Roxbury’ comparisons among the Twitter-verse. But, with that handsome gaze, he can pull off anything.

Aaron Paul: The ‘Breaking Bad’ Emmy winner couldn’t have accepted his trophy in more classic fashion. He wore top-to-toe Prada in a black kid-mohair tuxedo, with a two-button notch-lapel design and velvet trim on the collar. A white smoking silk shirt, black bowtie and black spazzolato lace-up shoes, plus a Bulgari timepiece, completed the look.

Ty Burrell: Channeling his own blue mood, the ‘Modern Family’ Emmy winner wore a custom Todd Snyder tuxedo that was made especially for his big night. The Italian wool design was a collaborative effort between Ty, his stylist, Ilaria Urbinati, and the designer and boasts a unique shade of blue called ‘dusk,’ which nicely updates the tux from the more standard colourways of black and navy.

Always one to make a statement, award-winner singer, Lorde sported a beautifully bold waved hairstyle at MTV Video Music Awards (August 24th).

Celebrity hairstylist, Andy LeCompte drew inspiration from Jerry Hall’s signature waved tresses and developed a look that perfectly topped off Lorde’s look of the evening.

It was essential that the hairstyle look elegant and touchable while retaining its sheen long after its initial styling. This touchable and glamorous hairstyle can easily be recreated by following these simple tips:

Prep: Staring with clean, freshly washed hair was a must. Andy washed and conditioned Lorde’s hair using Wella Professionals Brilliance Shampoo and Conditioner.

Styling (blowout): Once hair was thoroughly washed, Andy prepped her hair with Wella Professionals LuxeOil Keratin Boost Leave In Conditioning Spray. He applied the product while the hair was still damp to insure the perfect base for heat styling. He followed by blow drying the hair using a large ceramic brush to create natural and smooth volume.

Styling (wave): To create the classic Jerry Hall look, Andy parted Lorde’s hair in a deep side part and curled the hair with an 1 ½ inch ceramic curling iron. Starting from the base all the way to the crown of the hair, Andy created long loose waves.

Setting: To get that impeccable shine, he applied 2-3 pumps of Wella Professionals LuxeOil Reconstructive Elixir and warmed it up between his palms. He gently ran the product through the curls to neatly define the waves and lock in the sheen.

Finish: Andy added a final finishing touch to the hair by lightly misting the waves with Wella Professionals Stay Essential Finishing Spray. Not only does this tame any pesky flyaways but hair looks healthy and touchable long after the first spay.

Try your hand at this chic hairstyle and you’ll surely fell like a royal all evening.
