Carey Mulligan In Alexander McQueen – ASMALLWORLD’s 10th Anniversary Winter Weekend Gala Benefit

Carey Mulligan In Alexander McQueen - ASMALLWORLD's 10thAnniversary Winter Weekend Gala Benefit

ASMALLWORLD’s 10th anniversary Winter Weekend, hosted by Sabine Heller and Patrick Liotard-Vogt, incorporated a swanky gala benefit for War Child hosted by the Carey Mulligan in Gstaad, Switzerland on Saturday (December 13).

As you know I have been slightly frustrated by Carey’s style of late, so you could’ve knocked me down with a feather upon sight of the British actress wearing this Alexander McQueen Resort 2015 gown.

For someone like Carey who has such a simple, minimalist style, this leopard print choice was not expected; or even dreamed about.

I just love the structured of the pink and burgundy gown, although I wish the Stella McCartney clutch was a touch more complementary.

Beauty wise she opted for a natural flawless look which included a glossy pink lip. (Regular readers will know this is a big deal for Carey).

I’m delighted to see Carey has regained her red carpet mojo. I just hope it lasts.

Are you as easily pleased as I am?

Tessa Thompson In Rodarte – ‘Selma’ New York Premiere

Tessa Thompson In Rodarte - 'Selma' New York Premiere

Tessa Thompson attended the ‘Selma’ New York premiere held at the Ziegfeld Theater on Sunday (December 14) in New York City.

The emerging actress, who is continuing to make waves on the red carpet, wore a Rodarte Spring 2015 gown with so many intriguing elements such as the embroidered pearl net plus iridescent sequins and Swarovski crystals, which make up the majority of this fashion-forward piece of art.

Playing it oh so right with neutral makeup and simple styling consisting of Christian Louboutin pumps and Sha Nazarian of DiamondDNY jewelry, it looks like my prediction of her becoming a major player might just be coming to fruition as I adore this look from head to toe.

I was a huge fan of this Rodarte collection but was concerned that many of the pieces would be confined to editorials. Thankfully that is not the case.

Taylor Swift In Reem Acra – Z100’s Jingle Ball

Taylor Swift In Reem Acra - Z100's Jingle Ball

Taylor Swift attended Z100’s Jingle Ball held at Madison Square Garden on Friday (December 12) in New York City.

Following her sweet Oscar de la Renta dress, Taylor turned things up several notches on this occasion, displaying a lot more skin.

This sassy one-shoulder burgundy number comes courtesy of Reem Acra’s Spring 2015 collection.

I love how this look merges a classic silhouette with a sexy edge, showcasing yet another side to Taylor’s ever-evolving style.

Matching Jimmy Choo sandals and a light pink lip shade round out this sexy look.

Was this too much skin on display from Taylor for your liking?

Eva Longoria In Ali Younes – Global Gift Gala

Eva Longoria In Ali Younes - Global Gift Gala

Eva Longoria hosted her Global Gift Gala during day five of the 11th Annual Dubai International Film Festival held at White Dubai on Sunday (December 14) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Travelling light, she opted to wear a dress from Kuwaiti couture designer Ali Younes.

While there is an essence of glamour and femininity oozing from this sensual lace design, I can’t say I’m bowled over by the gown itself.

This may have been more intriguing to me without the lace overlay, with the scoop-neck bodysuit making up the top half of the gown, but I fully understand why that wouldn’t have been the case.

Anna Kendrick In Oscar de la Renta – ‘Into The Woods’ London Photocall

Anna Kendrick In Oscar de la Renta - 'Into The Woods' London Photocall

Following the screening, Anna Kendrick attended a photocall for her latest movie, ‘Into The Woods’, held at the Corinthia Hotel London on Friday (December 12) in London, England.

Sticking to a festive theme, the actress wore a rich velvet burgundy Oscar de la Renta Fall 2014 long-sleeve wrap dress, keeping the red belt we saw on the runway, which gives the look an edgier flare.

While I adore the two-tone pumps we saw on the runway, Anna selected a simpler pair of lace pumps from Salvatore Ferragamo, with neutral makeup and tumbling waves rounding out her look.
