Demi Moore In Christian Dior – International Women’s Day Celebration

Visionary Women honoured Demi Moore in celebration of International Women’s Day on Thursday (March 8) in Beverly Hills, California.

We don’t usually associate animal print with Dior (more likely Cavalli), yet Demi’s printed silk dress hails from the fashion house.

I know some of you will never buy into anything with animal print, but I love the fluid silhouette and floor sweeping length of this piece.

The white silk collar gives the look a different dimension which I can appreciate, but the neckace feels a touch out of place here.

MDNA SKIN hosted Madonna and Kim Kardashian West for a beauty conversation at YouTube Space LA, on Tuesday (March 6).

Throughout the 30-minute conversation, Madonna and Kim shared their favourite beauty tips, biggest beauty inspirations, took selfies and tried each other’s products.

The Queen of pop wore a wore an Alexandre Vauthier velvet tuxedo with enlarged lapels to accentuate the shoulder line giving her a classic 80s look.

Kim was also presenting a classic look, by opting for a bra and fitted skirt.

Here’s a snippet of their conversation. The full conversation will be posted on the MDNA SKIN’s YouTube channel.

Madonna on her daily beauty routine
“I sleep on my face, so I wake up with puffy eyes. When I wake up, my eyes look like small planets, so I created these eye masks that are filled with eye serum, and I cannot speak to anybody until my eyes are not planets.”

Madonna on her beauty inspirations
“I loved Hollywood glamour – Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth, and Marlene Dietrich. To me, they were the personification of feminine beauty, and it really looked like they all took care of their skin. And yes, they are all mentioned in my song Vogue.”

Madonna on when beauty first became important to her
“When you become aware that people are watching you and judging you, then you start thinking about the way you look.”

Kim on sharing beauty tips
“I love giving advice. People always come to me. I love analyzing someone’s face and going with them to a doctor and being like, ‘Wait, a little botox here and little here.’ People write me — I will not say who — but people in the business, people that I’ve never even met before, and they’ll text me and they’ll be like, ‘Hey this is so and so. I’m going to send you pictures and tell me what you think I should do.”

Kim on her inspiration
“My mom was a stewardess and all the girls would save their money for a beauty ‘tips and tricks’ class. She learned the trick of exfoliating with a hot wash cloth and I wash my face with a wash cloth every night.”
