Kerry Washington In Carolina Herrera – Women Making History Awards

Kerry Washington made a bold splash at the Women Making History Awards on Saturday (September 16) in Beverly Hills, California.

With a look fresh off the Spring 2018 runways, the ‘Scandal’ actress donned a Carolina Herrera dress that was on the Red Carpet Wish List for Nicole Kidman.

But, there’s no doubt Kerry was drawn to it for the designer’s punchy twist on timeless, feminine classics.

The artsy flair was felt throughout the sassy, sophisticated frock—from the graphic dotted motif to the new embellished variation on the pouf shoulder. And, I couldn’t have been happier to see Kerry wear this so well.

Whoever said black and white is boring would need to retract that immediately.

Variety And Women In Film’s 2017 Pre-Emmy Celebration

While Entertainment Weekly was hosting its Pre-Emmy Party on Friday (September 15) in West Hollywood, California. Variety and Women in Film were doing the same thing with their Pre-Emmy Celebration in West Hollywood that likewise attracted a number of stars.

Jennifer Nettles: Between the black paneling and the tiered skirt, this black-and-red dress could have benefited from a slightly simpler approach as it looked a bit haphazard as presented. Ileana Makri jewels completed the look.

Abigail Spencer: Abigail took a pretty-in-pink approach with her feminine Solace London dress that featured the added drama of cape sleeves an Edie Parker clutch and tonal pink Kurt Geiger pumps rounded out the look.

Angela Sarafyan: This Elisabetta Franchi Fall 2017 floral-embroidered frock was an intriguing fusion between high-octane shine and a slight Victorian vibe. Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a Jimmy Choo clutch blended right in, in the best way possible.

2017 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party

In advance of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Entertainment Weekly hosted its Pre-Emmy Party on Friday (September 15) in West Hollywood, California.

Sophia Bush: This red Stella McCartney body-skimming dress with car wash slits held potential, but I wish the styling had been more complementary. A tonal red sandal like the Edie Parker clutch would have provided a more streamlined effect but I would have stopped the red at the makeup—red eye shadow is always a tough look to pull off.

Padma Lakshmi: The ‘Top Chef’ host also went bold with the eye shadow, hers an intense shade of violet. However, her sultry Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2018 floral-embroidered dress commanded enough attention on its own. I love that she didn’t resort to black pumps, but I’m wishing for a sandal here.

Mandy Moore
: With a shiny new play on an LBD, the ‘This Is Us’ actress donned a Sally LaPointe Pre-Fall 2017 sequin dress styled with Sophia Webster shoes and a red Jimmy Choo clutch. The style-forward edge of the turtleneck sweater piece grew on me, although at first, I did want to remove it.

Silvia Abascal In Elie Saab – FesTVal 2017

Silvia Abascal attended the ‘La Catedral del Mar’ premiere at the Principal Teather during the FesTVal 2017 on Friday (September 8) in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

The actress wore an Elie Saab Spring 2017 dress with refined pleats and a loud print for a chic and contemporary maternity look.

I love that she decided to amp her look further with sparkling accessories from Elie Saab and Cartier jewels.
