Taylor Swift Wore Givenchy To The Songwriters Hall Of Fame 55th Annual Induction And Awards Gala
Taylor Swift was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at the annual ceremony held in New York on Thursday.

Following her charming Erdem look at the Toy Story 5 premiere earlier this week, the singer opted for a custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton draped bustier gown that felt both elegant and event-appropriate.
What makes this look particularly noteworthy is the refreshing departure from the style formula Taylor often gravitates towards. Given the significance of the occasion, an Oscar de la Renta-style ball gown might have seemed like the obvious choice, but this Givenchy design offered a more modern alternative.

The gown’s old-masters-inspired floral embroidery may also look familiar. The motif has become one of the defining signatures of Sarah Burton’s Fall 2026 Givenchy collection, having previously appeared on Anya Taylor-Joy during promotions for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in Tokyo and on Cate Blanchett at the Cannes Film Festival.

I know some won’t be entirely convinced by Taylor’s hairstyle, but I was simply pleased to see her wear her hair in an updo. Too often, her signature waves can obscure jewellery moments, and it would have been a shame to hide those beautiful Mindi Mond earrings.
