Get The Look: Zendaya Coleman’s Sultry Oscars Beauty

Inspired by the stunning mocha shade of Zendaya’s flowing Giambattista Valli Oscars gown, Makeup Artist Sheika Daley created a sexy, sultry makeup look that was centered on a stunning deep chocolate-toned smoky eye look.

Using c’s luxurious cosmetic range, this radiant, sun-kissed look was the perfect twist on the classic smoky look. Here’s how Sheika created this look:

SKIN: Staring with a freshly cleansed, clean face, Sheika prepped the skin by generously applying Charlotte’s Magic Cream along the face. This not only provided ample hydration but created a smooth and supple canvas for foundation. Once the skin was sufficiently moisturized, Sheika wanted to give the skin some vibrancy by applying Unisex Healthy Glow to the skin and enhanced the glow further down the neck, along the shoulders and décolletage. Applying a glowing, highlighting product along the neck and body makes the overall skin radiate and appear sun-kissed especially if you’re wearing a shoulder-bearing evening dress.

FACE: Moving onto foundation, Sheika created a custom base for Zendaya that not only provided coverage but also gave the skin a multidimensional look with a glamorous glow. To create this base, she blended the NEW Hollywood Flawless Filter in shade 7 with Magic Foundation in shade 9 and buffed it onto the skin. A perfect pairing with the Magic Foundation, The Hollywood Flawless Filter product serves as an amped-up primer that not only gives the skin an almost filtered, imperfection-blurring effect but leaves skin bright and photo-ready.

To define the face and create a soft contour, Sheika applied Hollywood Contour Wand in Dark/Medium to the cheeks and added warmth around the face. To further enhance Zendaya’s already glowing skin, Hollywood Flawless Filter and the Hollywood Beauty Light Wand were layered on the high points of her skin. For the final touches, she blended away any visible flaws with The Retoucher concealer in 6 and dusted the skin in a light layer of Airbrush Flawless Finish powder in shade 3 to set the makeup for a flawless, lasting look.

EYES: Once the skin was perfected, she then moved onto the eyes and created an updated twist on the classic cool-toned smoky eye look with warm chocolate tones that beautifully complimented her gown. To achieve this stunning look, Sheika began by wetting the Eye Smudger Brush and saturating the brush with the Smoke shade, a copper-brown shade from the Luxury Palette in The Dolce Vita. She applied it to both the upper and lower lash lines for a sexy, sultry, warm and smoked base for this look. Once the initial application was dry, she layered the Prime shade, a pearlescent pale-tone, to the middle of the eyelids and followed with the Smoke shadow atop that, all while making sure to expertly blend the shadows to outer corners to softly diffuse the whole look together. For an eye opening and brightening effect, Sheika applied Hollywood Beauty Light Wand to the inner corners of Zendaya’s eyes. For the final eye framing effect, her natural lashes (upper and lower) were layered in a few coats of Full Fat Lashes in Glossy Black. Sheika finished off this glamorous and sexy eye look by grooming the brows and shaping them with Brow Lift in Naomi and locked in the desired shape with Legendary Brows in Clear.

LIPS: With the sultry eye look complete, Sheika moved onto the lips. Choosing a color that was soft and beautiful was essential as she did not want the lips to compete with the dramatic eye look. She opted for Lip Lustre in Hall of Fame, an glossy, nude lip color that beautiful enhanced and highlighted Zendaya’s full lip shape without looking too over done.

Lupita Nyong’o In Dolce & Gabbana – ‘Gringo’ LA Premiere

It’s been a busy weekend for Lupita Nyong’o with the Oscars and Vanity Fair Party, but the actress is not in the mood to slow down as she attended the ‘Gringo’ LA premiere last night (March 6) to support her ‘Queen of Katwe’ co-star David Oyelowo.

The actress wore a Dolce & Gabbana lace up corset dress which continues to be an iconic, and timeless look for the Italian designers, who have presented versions of this dress in the 90s, 00s and again for 2018.

I love how this look is brimming with sophisticated seductiveness. There is really no style that Lupita can’t conquer.

Some might be disappointed by the lack of colour here, but my feeling is that Lupita wanted to go for something striking in style, but nothing that would overshadow the stars of the film.

Kate Mara In Valentino – Grand Marnier Campaign Launch

While Kate Bosworth was going for something a little more experimental, Kate Mara stayed with tried-and-true for the Grand Marnier’s new campaign launch on Tuesday (March 6) in New York City.

You could say this black Valentino Spring 2018 sits firmly within Kate’s comfort-zone, however, this dress is realized with a sporty profile due to the cut-outs and mesh bodice.

I’m sure Maria Shavapova is kicking herself that she didn’t pick this one up first.

Kate’s styling was very simple with slick back hair and a selection of subtle jewels plus a pair of silvery pumps for added interest.

Nafessa Williams In Thai Nguyen Atelier – ‘Gringo’ LA Premiere

Nafessa Williams joined Amanda Seyfried and Charlize Theron for the world premiere of ‘Gringo’ on Tuesday (March 6) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Thai Nguyen Atelier Spring 2018 look that has me divided.

On the one hand I love the marble print effect, but top with the cut-out shoulders was a hard sell.

My issue is how baggy the sleeves are, and how they look like opera gloves.

Had this been sleeveless, and had the trousers been an inch shorter I would’ve loved this look.

Kate Bosworth In Attico – Grand Marnier Campaign Launch

Kate Bosworth attended Grand Marnier’s new campaign launch on Tuesday (March 6) in New York City, alongside her husband Michael Polish.

As much as I loved her Christian Dior Haute Couture look from the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, my opinion is that she can do that kinda look in her sleep, with one hand tied behind her back.

This Attico Fall 2018 is more challenging and sees the experimental side to Kate’s style come out to play, which I love.

I know many will liken her printed jacquard dress accented with pearls to the von Trapp drapes, but I love the cool vibe I’m getting from this look, which is enhanced by her styling.

Credit must also be given to her makeup artist Hung Vanngo, who selected the perfect ash-brown shades to complement her dress.
