RCFA App

I am very excited to announce the Red Carpet Fashion Awards app, which is available to download from iTunes for users of iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, requiring an iOS 7.0 or later.

The app gives you easier navigation and easier sharing, as well as the ability to catch up when you are offline.

This is still new so there may be a few glitches, so your feedback is welcome.

Click here to download the app.

An app for the android will be available in the near future.

Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture – Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger In Chanel Couture - Ministere Of Culture

Diane Kruger received the insignia of Officer of the Order of Arts and Letters at a ceremony held at the Ministry Of Culture on Monday (September 22) in Paris, France.

Going back into the archives, or perhaps in this case her closet, the German actress selected a look from Chanel’s Fall 2007 Couture collection.

The navy halter tuxedo-inspired frock, which still holds up now with its contemporary peplum, has many more interesting elements such as the black sequin bodice underlay, contrasting black stitch detailing and bow accent.

I love that she selected this dress for such an honourable occasion and setting. Usually she’s all about getting the fresh-off-the-runway look first.

Retro waves and silver jewels including an ear cuff rounded out her chic Parisian look.

Do you love it or should this dress have stayed in the archives?

Discover Net-A-Porter’s Fall/Winter 2014 Trend Report

unnamed

Discover the 10 key trends of the season with the new Trend Report from NET-A-PORTER.COM.

May I introduce you to the ‘navajo spirit’. From Burberry Prorsum’s hand-painted prints to Roberto Cavalli’s geometric patterns, this trend can be defined by a single item – the blanket coat – as loved by Sarah Jessica Parker and Olivia Palermo to name just two.

NAP’s styling tip is to avoid bulk underneath: think bare legs or skinny jeans, and cinch it all in with a love-worn leather belt.

Kerry Washington In Prabal Gurung & Giles – Good Morning America & The Limited ‘Scandal’ Collection Launch Event

Kerry Washington In Prabal Gurung & Giles - Good Morning America & The Limited 'Scandal' Collection Launch Event

Kerry Washington was on double duty yesterday (September 23). Not only was she promoting the new season of her hit TV show ‘Scandal’, but she was also promoting the limited edition ‘Scandal’-inspired clothing collection.

‘Good Morning America’: Kerry’s morning started bright and early with a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’, where she enlivened the audience with this contemporary offering from Prabal Gurung’s Resort 2015 collection. Used to much simpler styles, this racer front and peplum top paired with a dual-colour circle skirt with a leather flounce is a refreshing break from the norm. I love the silhouette and the simple styling, and despite the fact that there are so many elements to this look, she’s not overwhelmed by it.

The Limited ‘Scandal’ Collection Launch Event: Later that same evening Kerry was working her second peplum look of the day, this time wearing one of her favourite designers, Giles Deacon. I love the strong graphic impact this tie-dye denim-bustier Resort 2015 frock has to offer, but sadly I’m not too enamoured by the navy velvet Roger Vivier ‘Papillon’ bow-accented sandals or the Roger Vivier ‘Pilgrim Carre Orthodoxe’ embellished clutch. Both feel too prissy for this edgy look. A fishtail braid and a subtle selection of jewels completed her look.

Chloe Grace Moretz In Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Equalizer’ New York Premiere

Chloe Grace Moretz In Christian Dior Couture - 'The Equalizer' New York Premiere

Chloe Grace Moretz continued to crank up her efforts to promote her latest movie, ‘The Equalizer’, by attending the movie’s premiere held at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Monday (September 22) in New York City.

The actress wore Dior again, selecting a Spring 2014 Couture dark ink-blue off-the-shoulder frock accented with sequin appliqués.

This dress has all the elements to be a great red carpet look, from the style, the embellishments and the youthful appeal, to the complementary silver sandals; however, the hand-on-the-hip pose is jarring.

Am I nit-picking, or is the pose slightly throwing off the balance of this look?

Wavy tresses and flawless makeup provided the finishing touches.
