Olivia Culpo Front Row @ NYFW Fall 2017

There seemed to be hardly a front row seat without Olivia Culpo’s name on it during New York Fashion Week—her respective designer looks from each show reflecting the wide variety of presentations she frequented.

Noon By Noor: Mannish vamp was the mood with her all-black ensemble at the Noon By Noor show on Thursday (February 9), where her sleek bun and glossy crimson lip took the look from standard to sultry.

Cushnie Et Ochs: Pants again were in play at the Cushnie et Ochs show on Friday (February 10), but the most I noticed of them was where the waistband peeked through the deep plunge of the vest that actually seemed strangely ill-fitting. It compromised the outfit, as sometimes a plunge is just too deep. She accessorized with a Lee Savage clutch.

Zimmermann: From menswear to mega-feminine, Olivia flipped the script at the Zimmermann show on Monday (February 13) with a look from the label’s Spring 2017 collection that served up ruffled, lacy romanticism with an innocently sultry finish. With the lace-up boots, you can see the ‘sexy pirate’ edge that was rife throughout that collection.

Alessandra Ambrosio In Maria Lucia Hohan – VOGUE Brazil Carnival Ball 2017

Alessandra Ambrosio was seen celebrating the VOGUE Brazil Carnival Ball 2017 in Rio de Janeiro on Friday (February 16).

I can imagine the supermodel twirling around in this Maria Lucia Hohan shimmering party gown all night long, taking supreme advantage of the skirt that was made to go for a spin.

Elegantly feminine fun was served up here, with a final flourish in the top knot and ruby red lip, for a dress that strayed away from the more overtly revealing sexiness that Alessandra can favour.

Diane Kruger Front Row @ NYFW Fall 2017

Diane Kruger is nothing short of a style darling with her penchant for spirited, directional looks, so it’s no surprise she made a string of front row appearances during New York Fashion Week.

Jason Wu: On Friday (February 10), the actress kicked things off at the height of sartorial sharpness with a fresh rendition on a tuxedo jacket dress. The combination of blue hues is just as eye-catching as the precision tailoring, elevated even further by a leopard clutch and strappy nude heels which ensured there was plenty of sass to match the structure of the look.

Prabal Gurung: While it may have appeared as if her sweater dress was falling off her shoulder at the Prabal Gurung show on Sunday (February 12), it was intentional—and all the better for it. It takes a specific girl to pull off this look, and Diane is that girl. She commanded it with brilliant allure, not to mention that the purple colour is simply radiant on her.

Tory Burch: Hopping on the pajama train, she wore a posh PJ ensemble at the Tory Burch show on Tuesday (February 14) that was dressed up by its bold, geometric print and wide obi sash.

BET Presents the American Black Film Festival Honors

The BET Presents the American Black Film Festival Honors were held on Friday (February 17) in Beverly Hills, California, with a number of stars in attendance.

Kylie Bunbury: My fondness for the actress’s Solace London ‘Amelle’ dress started with its bright, sunny hue, but it was the cascade of large ruffles down the front and back that really stole the show.

Issa Rae: Had the wide cummerbund-style detailing of this Lisa Folawiyo printed dress fallen a bit higher on Issa’s waist, the proportions would have changed for the better. As presented, it shortens the leg line rather than elongating it. The look was styled with an Edie Parker ‘Lara’ clutch.

Queen Latifah: Had she abided by the rule to remove one accessory before you leave, this look would have already been off to a better start. But, then I ask myself, which accessory… One of the gold cuffs? The clashing red clutch? The Saint Laurent tassel earrings? The strangely blunt, layered extensions? They all needed to go.

VIBES By Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2017 Launch Festival

After the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit launch in New York City, the SI stunners were out again for the VIBES by Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2017 Launch Festival on Friday (February 17) in Houston, Texas.

Ashley Graham: Plush velvet met peek-a-boo lines with this vibrant blue Tracy Reese body-con dress. With her bronzed pins, the Stuart Weitzman sandals were a far cry from nude, leaving me to question why wasn’t another pair of non-ankle strap shoes selected to lengthen the leg line.

Kate Upton: Speaking of legs, Kate let hers do the talking in this strapless LBD by Jonathan Simkhai that was deceptively minimal save for a few rows of tonal fringe and that thigh-high slit up the left side. I do love how she layered in a sense of old Hollywood glamour with the finger waves of her updo.

Chrissy Teigen: Between the bronzer, the wide buckle belt, and the button-accented Self-Portrait khaki skirt—not to mention the lace underskirt—there was a lot going on here. So, I’m glad she downplayed the styling with just a sleek bun, simple Stuart Weitzman sandals, and a matching Jimmy Choo clutch.

Maggie Gyllenhaal In Schiaparelli Couture – 2017 Berlinale International Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Maggie Gyllenhaal attended the 2017 Berlinale International Film Festival Closing Ceremony on Saturday (February 18) in Berlin.

Consistency of style was her strong suit throughout the festival, as she maintained a loosely romantic, boho flair in many of her looks.

The mood continued for this diaphanously flowing Schiaparelli Spring 2017 Couture gown with its decorative Asian floral motif.

Her wavy locks only echoed the fluidity of form here, with a red lip providing a finishing pop of boldness in absence of the runway’s pendant necklaces.
