Emilia Clarke In Christian Dior – ‘Terminator Genisys’ Tokyo Premiere

Emilia Clarke In Christian Dior - 'Terminator Genisys' Tokyo Premiere

Emilia Clarke attended the ‘Terminator Genisys’ Tokyo premiere, which was held at the Roppongi Hills Arena in Tokyo, Japan on Monday (July 6).

Again straying away from her prior black or white formula, the actress returned to red in a Christian Dior dress styled with silver Dior sandals and Dior Fine Jewelry.

Those wishing for another long gown will be disappointed, but this cocktail frock possessed a bit more drama than seen at first glance in its voluminous skirt and vintage-inspired back bustle.

Perhaps counteracting the more classic glamour of the look, she wore a mod side ’do along with a magenta-red lip.

Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture Front Row

Dior 1
The Christian Dior Fall 2015 Couture front row was filled with Dior-dressed darlings, who watched the magical procession of confections make their way down a purple-hued runway on Monday (July 6) during Paris Fashion Week in Paris, France.

Emily Blunt
: Cutting a pristinely sophisticated profile, the actress struck a lovely balance between old Hollywood glamour and modern elegance in her sleek Christian Dior mock peplum dress styled with side-parted retro waves and Dior Fine Jewelry. Her navy clutch and houndstooth pumps were a glorious addition to her all-white look.

Lupita Nyong’o
: Unfortunately, the only element I liked about Lupita’s outing was the radiant red colour of her Dior dress. The frock itself translated as rather ill-fitting and far too twee for the actress, and the black Dior pumps, funky sunglasses, and Dior earrings did nothing to warm me to this look.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
: Changing her look by a full 180 degrees from her frow appearance at the Atelier Versace Fall 2015 show, the supermodel wore a plaid Dior jacket and shorts paired with Dior sandals and funky Dior shades. While the ensemble was likewise rather youthful, she carried it off with a sweet sense of chic panache so that the ‘too twee’ label need not apply.

Jena Malone In Miu Miu – 50th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Jena Malone In Miu Miu - 50th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Jena Malone attended the opening ceremony of the 50th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) on Friday (July 3) in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.

We, or rather I, often give gowns which come out of the Prada/Miu Miu atelier a rough ride – for good reason.

On this occasion I am stunned – almost into almost silence – at how breath-taking this Miu Miu white gown is.

The lime-coloured embroidered Swarovski crystals wasn’t the deciding factor, just the overall chic appeal and complementary Prada accessories.

Usually Lea Seydoux is the only one fortunate enough to pick BDOTW worthy looks from Miu Miu, do you agree that Jena has potentially picked a winner?

amfAR Paris Red Carpet Roundup

amfar paris

There were many more celebs who joined Rosie Huntington-Whiteley on the red carpet for the amfAR dinner, hosted at the Pavilion LeDoyen during Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture on Sunday (July 5) in Paris, France.

Karlie Kloss: The model went from runway to red carpet without skipping a beat, wearing the same finale look from the Atelier Versace Fall 2015 collection which she presented. A smoothless transition if I ever saw one.

Olivia Palermo: When it came to Olivia’s marigold Dior look, the word smooth was nowhere in the equation. The words crumpled, creased, needed-a-steam spring to mind. Creases aside, this is such a harsh colour for Olivia and not a flattering style.

Michelle Obama In Michael Kors – Fourth of July at the White House

Michelle Obama In Michael Kors - Fourth of July at the White House

President Barack Obama, accompanied by First Lady Michelle Obama, hosted an Independence Day event for military personnel and White House staff on the South Lawn of the White House on Saturday (July 4) in Washington, DC.

Michelle wore a Michael Kors Spring 2015 halter dress rendered in eye-catching pink gingham check with metallic kitten heels.

I love how the flattering fit-and-flare silhouette offers a casual, laid-back look which was perfect for the event while still maintaining plenty of First Lady finesse.

Even if you’ve come to associate this classic print with Dorothy from ‘The Wizard Of Oz’, gingham has been quite a hit with celebrities lately. For me the print will always bring to mind summer picnics.

You may remember that Freida Pinto wore this same dress in green recently.
