Amanda Seyfried Wore Versace & Prada To ‘The Testament Of Ann Lee’ Venice Film Festival Photocall and Premiere
Amanda Seyfried is at the 2025 Venice Film Festival to promote her new film, The Testament Of Ann Lee.

Photocall: Big Sister’s Closet Chic
Amanda shares her stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, with Julia Roberts—and this led to a playful fashion recycle moment. When Elizabeth posted Julia’s photocall Versace look on Instagram, Amanda quickly commented, “Please let me wear the same outfit.” Wish granted as she gave Dario Vitale’s debut Versace a second spin at the Palazzo del Cinema.

It’s a charming fashion recycling moment, something Elizabeth loves to champion (Cate Blanchett is her queen of rewears). But here’s the catch: Julia is 5ft 9 (175 cm), Amanda is 5ft 3 (160 cm). On Julia, it was tailored perfection as it was a custom look. On Amanda, the jeans—hiked as high as they could go—still were too long. The proportions weren’t ideal, but Amanda’s enthusiasm carried this lool. She wore it with the joy of a little sister raiding her big sister’s wardrobe—and that’s part of the fun.

Premiere: Prada Ribbons & Red Carpet Hiccups
Amanda second look was a strapless navy Prada gown. I was ready to applaud purely because Prada managed the rare feat of sending a crease-free look down the carpet. But then my eye kept snagging on the red ribbon. It’s attached to the skirt, not the bodice, which leaves it gaping strangely in every photo. A small design quirk, but one that stopped me from fully embracing the look.

Her Tiffany & Co. jewels, including a Jean Schlumberger Bird on a Rock brooch and platinum diamond earrings, added sparkle, but I still can’t shake the feeling that this Prada was close—but not quite there.
