Celebrities at ‘The Testament of Ann Lee’ London Film Festival Screening
The Testament of Ann Lee London Film Festival screening took place on Saturday, and I struggled to get on board with any of the looks on this red carpet.

Proportionally, All Wrong
Starting with Amanda Seyfried, who wore a Richard Quinn Fall 2025 strapless black velvet and white tulle gown. The proportions are all wrong, the fabric feels overly heavy, and the contrast of textures does little to flatter her frame. It’s dramatic for sure, and the dress itself is beautiful as we can see on the runway. But I’m not buying the fit or the vibe. This is one of the most confusing choices from this festival.

Too much tulle, too little balance
You would think Bora Aksu’s feminine designs would be a natural fit for Thomasin McKenzie, but this Spring 2026 bridal-inspired look swallowed her whole. Between the voluminous sleeves, frothy tulle, and dense embellishments, there’s simply too much competing detail. She’s completely lost in the design, and it shows — it’s wearing her.

Cool attitude, tired boots
While her co-stars leaned into theatrical silhouettes, Stacy Martin did her own thing in Louis Vuitton. Her mini dress with oversized shoulders had that structured modernity Nicolas Ghesquière loves, styled with black leather boots that I wish weren’t the default LV setting. Le Damier de Louis Vuitton earrings and rings in pink gold and diamonds completed her look.

Coquette-core meets London cool
Viola Prettejohn’s Miu Miu look channels early 2000s indie energy — a mix of girlish rebellion and awkward charm. The knit dress layered over a satin bra top, the embellished socks, and pointed pumps all feel nostalgic yet deliberate. It’s very Sofia Coppola-coded, and while it won’t be for everyone, and I can’t say that I love it, Viola wears it with confidence and personality.
