Mckenna Grace’s ‘Hunger Games’ Premiere Gown Is a Work of Art
Mckenna Grace has been giving us one fashion reference after another while promoting The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, but I think she has saved her best for the London premiere, held at Westfield London this evening.

The actress wore an Almée Couture gown that brought the film’s official poster to life.

And when you place the two images side by side, the similarities are impossible to miss.

The intricate embroidery recreates the landscape from the poster, beginning with the swirling blue and silver sky across the bodice, followed by the purple mountain range, green meadows and colourful wildflowers. Three-dimensional purple flowers cascade from the hips down the sheer, embellished skirt, completing what is essentially a wearable version of the film’s artwork.
What I love most is that this isn’t simply a floral gown chosen to complement the film’s nature-inspired imagery. The entire design tells the same visual story as the poster, and the craftsmanship is beautiful.

We’ve already seen Mckenna and stylist Molly Dickson reference characters, costumes and symbols from The Hunger Games franchise throughout this press tour, but this feels like their most ambitious interpretation yet.
And here’s what makes it even more impressive: the gown wasn’t custom-made for Mckenna. Looking at it, you would naturally assume it had been created specifically for this premiere. Knowing that it wasn’t makes me appreciate Molly’s work even more. How do you even begin to find a gown that matches a film poster so perfectly? It’s an incredible find, and one that makes me appreciate just how much research and thought goes into her styling choices.
Stylist: Molly Dickson.
