D23 Expo 2026: Sadie Sink, Hailee Steinfeld & More
The 2026 D23 Expo, the Ultimate Disney Fan Event, took over the Anaheim Convention Center over the weekend, where a host of celebrities promoted their upcoming Disney TV shows and films.
From the new X-Men cast to returning Marvel favourites, the event gave us our first indication of what some of these upcoming promo tours could look like.
X-Men
Sadie Sink, who will play Jean Grey, wore a vintage Alexander McQueen Spring 2004 patchwork-print sheer dress. I love the print, as the colours are so complementary to her skin tone and hair. The look was styled with Anita Ko jewels. We didn’t see much of her on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day press tour, so I’m excited to see where her X-Men promo style takes us.
Samara Weaving, who will play Emma Frost, wore an instantly recognisable Vivienne Westwood dress. It’s giving rebel bride, especially with the matching white Gianvito Rossi Plexi pumps and a Sophia D necklace, but I’m buying it.
Inde Navarrette, who will play Rogue, opted for Mel Usine. I liked the cropped black leather jacket, but the skirt is at complete odds with it. That’s not to say she needed a leather skirt or trousers; I honestly think a pair of jeans would have worked better here.
Maya Boyd, who will play Storm, kept things simple in a strapless Zara denim dress. There is so much potential for her eventual X-Men promo press tour, so I’m hoping to see more.
Avengers: Doomsday
Robert Downey Jr., returning to the MCU as Doctor Doom, wore a sage suit with his signature tinted glasses. It’s typically smart-casual, and I’m surprised the look didn’t feature his preferred sneakers.
Hayley Atwell, returning as Peggy Carter, wore a red Hermès Resort 2027 dress. Red has always been a great colour for Hayley, and this was another reminder of why. I just don’t like the dress. Not the construction, nor the fact that it looks padded. That’s all before we even get to the black pumps.
Chris Evans, returning as Steve Rogers, took the most relaxed approach of the trio, completing his brown shirt and trousers with a Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece.
Frozen 3
Kristen Bell, returning as Anna in Frozen 3, wore a Heidi Merrick look with Schutz slingbacks. The all-white styling feels right for a film titled Frozen. I would have tucked more of the blouse into the skirt, though.
Hexed
Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Billie, wore an AMI Paris look comprising simple separates that combined to create an easy, cool look. I think the jacket is the hero piece here.
Zootopia 3
Ginnifer Goodwin, returning as Judy Hopps, wore an Akris Pre-Fall 2026 teal leather jacket with matching wide-leg trousers. Now this is how you sell me leather in August. Had this been black, I probably wouldn’t have been nearly as enthusiastic, but the teal hue changes everything.
Ahsoka Season 2
Rosario Dawson, returning as Ahsoka Tano, wore a Lein Studio fringed dress. You don’t expect this much drama at a D23 event, but the floor-skimming strands provide plenty of it. I’m glad she kept the belt, as the look might have been a bit unruly without it. The silver metallic pumps were also the right choice considering the belt.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3
Andra Day, who will play Athena, had a gold theme running through her look, from the Cult Gaia Quelle fringed top and Jaiden grommet jeans to the Cult Gaia Iris leaf earrings. And let’s not forget those golden curls. This is one of my favourite looks from her; she looks like a modern goddess.
Ice Age: Boiling Point
Queen Latifah, returning as Ellie, wore a KidSuper Fall 2026 pinstriped suit covered with photographic patches and text. We all know her preferred silhouette, so tailoring was the obvious choice, but this particular suit has so much personality, which is why it works for Queen Latifah. There’s plenty of flavour here. Add the sunglasses and jewellery, and the whole thing feels unmistakably her.
