Olivia Wilde’s Locarno Film Festival Style

Olivia Wilde attended the 2026 Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where she presented her latest directorial project, The Invite, which she also stars in alongside Seth Rogen, Edward Norton and Penelope Cruz.

Unfortunately, the fashion did not live up to the occasion. These might be two of the most unflattering looks I have ever seen her wear.

Photocall

The fit of this Alberta Ferretti Resort 2027 leather strapless peplum top is baffling. It looks like it is hanging off her rather than sitting securely against the body, which completely undermines the shape of the piece.

Paired with the loose-fitting jeans, the whole thing feels scruffy to me. I understand the relaxed approach for a photocall, but the top needed a much better fit to make this work.

Premiere

And my mood towards her style did not improve simply because she changed into a Fendi Resort 2027 gown.

I do like the juxtaposition of the ethereal skirt with the black leather bodice. On paper, this should have been a slam dunk for Olivia, who has always worn sensual, slightly undone looks well. But those straps are far too long, leaving the bodice sitting so low making the entire gown look ill-fitting.

Two looks, zero wins. This was not a great fashion weekend for Olivia.
