Demi Lovato Chooses Vintage Dolce & Gabbana for ‘Camp Rock 3’
Demi Lovato attended the LA premiere of Disney’s Camp Rock 3, held at Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California.
The first thing I said to myself when I saw the singer in this vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress was, “Venice Film Festival is just 22 days away.”
After the back-to-back press tours for The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, things have been quiet on the red carpet, but also disappointing.
Demi’s appearance served as the perfect reminder that the words “vintage Dolce & Gabbana” sound exciting, and we get that dopamine hit from the nostalgia of it all, but not everything from an archive needs a second life.
Case in point: this is giving The Real Housewives before the glam squads. I could easily see this bronze satin, lace-up dress on Teresa Giudice, Danielle Staub, Melissa Gorga or Dina Manzo at an early Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion.
On Demi, the fit isn’t helping either. I understand the ruching through the bodice on account of the lace-up detail, but the way the skirt bunches across the hips creates the illusion that the dress is a little too snug overall.
The only thing getting a pass here is the colour, which is gorgeous against her skin.
