Lupita Nyong’o Wore Diotima On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
Following her stunning arrival look, Lupita Nyong’o changed into a Diotima Fall 2026 ensemble for her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she discussed launching her Make Fibroids Count campaign to advocate for women with fibroids and working with Christopher Nolan on The Odyssey, in which she plays two characters.

At first glance, this may appear to be a simple black look, but Diotima creative director Rachel Scott packed it with texture. The crystal-embellished crochet crop top was amplified under the studio lights, while the voluminous fringed skirt gave the silhouette a sculptural quality, which Lupita, of course, put to good use as she danced her way to her seat.
Lupita gave us what many of us had been hoping for during this press tour: sandals. So I’m not going to begrudge her returning to black pumps on this occasion.

We’ve seen plenty of memorable press tours from Lupita over the years, but I haven’t been this impressed since since 12 Years a Slave. I would even argue that this has been her strongest press tour to date, as I’ve enjoyed every single look.

It may not receive the attention it deserves with Zendaya inevitably dominating the headlines, but for me, Lupita has delivered one of the standout celebrity fashion runs of the year, alongside Meryl Streep. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that they share the same stylist, Micaela Erlanger.
Stylist: Micaela Erlanger.
