Emmy Rossum Wore Monse To The ‘Furious’ New York Premiere

Following her stunning return to the spotlight on The View, Emmy Rossum attended the premiere of Hulu’s Furious at Metrograph in New York City on Thursday.

I genuinely screamed when I saw her in this Monse Resort 2027 dress, because this is exactly what illusion dressing should look like.

You may remember Jessica Chastain’s Oscar de la Renta gown from the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. As beautiful as it was, I couldn’t stop looking at the visible lining. It interrupted the illusion. Here, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia seem to have perfected the technique for their own label.

We don’t want to see the mechanics. We don’t want to be distracted by visible briefs or where the underlayer ends. We simply want to marvel at the craftsmanship of a dress like this, with its shimmering crystal lattice, delicate metal fringe and barely-there illusion. That’s exactly what happened here.

I can only imagine how breathtaking this looked in motion, with every strand of fringe catching the light.

Those who have followed RCFA for years will remember Emmy’s memorable Carolina Herrera era, (which deserves its own coffee table book) but I’m equally captivated by this new chapter. It feels modern without chasing trends, allowing exceptional design to do all the talking. This is simply Emmy being Emmy, reminding us why she’s been one of our red-carpet favourites for so many years.
