Front Row at the Dior Spring 2027 Mens Show
Following a heatwave of headline-making menswear across Paris, this front row showed practicality as well as style. While other front rows were filled with knits and jackets that looked better suited to cooler temperatures, Jonathan Anderson offered plenty of guests a welcome reprieve in the form of shorts from his debut collection. The result was one of the most weather-appropriate front rows we’ve seen this season, even if not every look landed equally well.

The Ladies
Do I really need to explain why Sophie Okonedo was my favourite from this Dior line-up?
Between the vibrant floral print, the rich colour palette, the fact that it actually made sense for the weather and my long-standing admiration for her style, this was an easy winner. Sophie has a knack for making even the busiest prints feel effortless, and she once again left the strongest impression on me.
Farida Khelfa in Dior. I have one word: chic. Chic from head to toe, with those green satin pumps providing exactly the right amount of contrast against the deep navy wrap dress. No unnecessary extras. Just impeccable styling.

The Ambassadors
I was today years old when I discovered that Iris Apatow and Sam Nivola are a couple.
It’s actually quite sweet that Sam brought his girlfriend along to what is effectively his other day job as a Dior ambassador. Between Iris’s graphic mini dress and Sam’s softly tailored pinstripe suit, they made for one of the most charming duos in the front row.
Why do I feel like I’ve seen LaKeith Stanfield in this Dior look before? I think it’s the jacket. Dior has explored this fabric and silhouette repeatedly, and combined with LaKeith’s ongoing love affair with the house’s denim, it all felt instantly familiar. That isn’t necessarily a criticism, but it didn’t surprise me.

Drew Starkey let us know that oversized cuffs aren’t exclusively Prada territory. Dior has embraced exaggerated shirting proportions too, and the striped shirt gave his otherwise understated outfit a bit more personality. It was relaxed, modern and exactly the sort of effortless dressing he does well.
Jimin’s embroidered navy coat immediately made me think of a military dress coat crossed with something a young prince might wear in a period drama. The ornate gold embroidery gave it that regal quality, yet pairing it with faded denim stopped it from feeling too precious. It was one of the more memorable looks in the room.

Delft Bermuda Shorts
I wasn’t surprised to see Jonathan Anderson’s viral oversized cargo Bermuda shorts making an appearance in the front row.
I was immediately drawn to Fionn O’Shea’s floral shorts. Some might argue that the print leans feminine, but that’s exactly why it works. Fashion has moved well beyond those old distinctions, and Fionn wore them with complete confidence. Even the high-top sneakers, which could have easily disrupted the look, worked within the overall styling.
Which is more than I can say for Little Simz. This felt like a collection of Dior pieces assembled without much thought to how they related to one another. The graphic skirt, logo T-shirt, white socks, loafers and oversized jacket all competed for attention instead of working together. This was easily my least favourite look from the front row.

Heatwave Dressing
Paul W. Downs kept things simple. A navy shirt, tailored shorts and practical shoes were exactly what a Paris heatwave called for. Clean, unfussy and completely appropriate.
Will Price followed a similar formula but elevated it with lighter fabrics and softer tailoring. It had the same easy summer attitude as Paul’s look.

Dior Denim
The faded Dior denim shirt paired with softly tailored trousers struck an easy balance between casual and smart for Ahmed Malek. Mike Faist stayed true to his understated style in a checked Dior shirt, relaxed jeans and embroidered loafers.

Denim Light
Light-wash denim emerged as one of the defining themes of the front row. Styled with dark tailoring by Guitarricadelafuente and Chiwetel Ejiofor…

…a cream blazer by Emmanuel Macchia, and a bright yellow shirt by Deng Wei, it gave these Dior looks an easy summer feel that suited both the occasion and the weather perfectly.

Showing Their Stripes
Dior’s blue striped shirt was another recurring piece, worn by Dylan Ennis, Alexander Ludwig, Connor Swindells and Charlie Walker.

Aside from the shoes, Charlie Walker’s Dior look is exactly what you want to be wearing in a hot, air-conditioning-less fashion week venue. Yes, it borders on looking like pyjamas, but he also looks cool, comfortable and appropriately relaxed for the occasion.

Epaulettes
Embellished epaulettes emerged as one of the more unexpected details in the front row, with Tomohisa Yamashita and Chen Xingxu proving that a statement shoulder can still feel surprisingly wearable.

Unexpected
I don’t think we’ve ever seen such a laid-back version of James Marsden, so this Dior look took me by surprise.
Sir Mick Jagger proves that style has no age in this Dior suit.
