Celebrities at the ‘Supergirl’ New York Premiere

David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan and Nicholas Hoult, who starred in last summer’s Superman, stepped out to support Milly Alcock at the New York premiere of Supergirl.

While this was Milly’s night, the Superman trio added another layer of DC star power to the blue carpet.

After Dark Glamour

Rachel Brosnahan debuted a softer brunette hair colour, and the rich brown-burgundy tones of her custom Elisabetta Franchi gown complemented the change perfectly.

The intricate embellishment and plunging neckline gave the look a sultry edge, while the deep colour offered a welcome alternative to black. Styled with René Caovilla Braid platform sandals, this was exactly the kind of world premiere look that delivered glamour without stealing the spotlight from the girl of the hour.

Summer Tailoring

David Corenswet demonstrated once again that uncomplicated menswear often produces the strongest results.

Wearing a dunhill Spring 2026 double-breasted suit in a pale stone shade, the actor delivered exactly the type of summer tailoring that feels right for both the season and the occasion. The open-collar shirt kept the look relaxed, and crucially, he resisted the temptation to add a tie.

The softer colour palette separated him from the darker looks surrounding him, while the slightly eased proportions prevented the suit from feeling overly formal. Superman may wear a cape, but David continues to prove that good tailoring does not require unnecessary additions.

The Lex Luthor Effect

Nicholas Hoult’s freshly shaved head immediately draws Lex Luthor back into the conversation, making this one of those rare occasions where an actor’s off-screen appearance becomes inseparable from the character he played.

His Prada look, with its leather jacket lending him a more villainous edge, only strengthened that connection.

Among the three supporting stars, Rachel delivered the strongest fashion moment, David demonstrated the enduring appeal of summer tailoring, and Nicholas showed just how transformative a haircut can be.
