Milly Alcock Wore McQueen, Jason Wu, Joyce Bao & Balenciaga Promoting ‘Supergirl’
Following Milly Alcock’s appearance at CinemaCon, where she presented Supergirl wearing a Chanel knit sweater echoing the iconic Superman emblem, the rest of her press tour has taken a less literal route. Rather than leaning heavily on the character’s iconic colours or emblem, the actress has moved between tailoring, sheer textures, and casual denim, building a wardrobe that becomes more focused as the tour progresses.

Milly wore a McQueen Pre-Fall 2026 black, grey and red chevron-striped tailored coat layered over a corseted gingham mini dress.
The combination of sharp tailoring and the abbreviated skirt gave the look a youthful edge, while the collegiate stripes subtly nodded to Kara Zor-El’s coming-of-age story without becoming overly thematic. Styled with Jimmy Choo Agathe knee-high boots, the outfit felt playful and slightly rebellious. It is perhaps the closest the tour has come to capturing the youthful energy of the character while still keeping one foot firmly in fashion.

Brazil Fan Event
This Jason Wu Spring 2026 dress introduced a darker, more mature note to the tour.
The sheer embellished bodice and black skirt sit comfortably within expected red-carpet trends, although the look felt somewhat disconnected from the celebratory atmosphere of the event. The styling, with sheer socks and pumps, further emphasised the moodier direction.

London Fan Event
The custom Joyce Bao look remains the biggest question mark of the tour.

The top and bottom halves feel disconnected to the point that I just don’t understand this design at all. I am equally unconvinced by the black pumps. Cartier jewels completed the look.

This McQueen cropped top accented with silver chainmail embroidery and Bumster jeans, from the Spring 2026 collection, is exactly the type of look and attitude I had been hoping to see from this press tour.
The combination of distressed embellishment and relaxed denim felt contemporary without trying too hard. The McQueen Kate sunglasses sealed the deal, making this one of the strongest appearances of the tour. Gianvito Rossi Sofia thong sandals and Messika jewels completed the look.

New York World Premiere
The progression from the earlier fan events to the Balenciaga Spring 2026 world premiere look becomes much clearer when all five appearances are viewed together. This look delivered the most dramatic moment of the tour.

Styled with Balenciaga Duchesse pumps and Jacob & Co. jewellery, the look projected confidence without relying on any obvious Supergirl references. In some photographs, Milly also wore the runway leather gloves, but the look feels cleaner and more effective without them.
