Menswear Midweek Red Carpet Roundup
Here are the menswear looks from both the BAFTA TV Awards and the Disney Upfront.
BAFTA TV Awards

Youthful Tailoring
Owen Cooper has certainly grown taller since he first appeared on our screens, and his style evolution is following suit. There is still a youthful inflection to his custom Bottega Veneta look thanks to the powder-blue nylon bomber jacket, but the exaggerated lavallière tie introduced a fashion-forward flourish that pushed this beyond standard young actor formalwear. Bottega Veneta James loafers completed his look.

Volume Shift
Paapa Essiedu continues to approach tailoring from a different angle, and these exaggerated wide-leg trousers gave his dark layered look a striking silhouette. The proportions could have easily overwhelmed the styling, but the cropped jacket and soft layering kept everything balanced. The Sauvereign 24kt gold Pure Legacy gem brooch completed his look.

Sharp And Familiar
Matt Smith wore Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann, delivering the kind of classic black double-breasted tailoring that rarely fails on him. The sharp shoulders, slim tie, and monochrome styling gave the look a timeless appeal, while the polka-dot shirt added a slight twist.

Monochrome Ease
Ashley Walters wore Louis Vuitton, leaning into the house’s relaxed tailoring codes with this collarless textured jacket and wide-leg trousers. The styling felt clean and modern, with the white trim around the neckline subtly lifting the all-black palette.
Disney Upfront

Soft Grey Precision
Tyler James Williams wore a Canali micro-houndstooth plaid double-breasted suit that felt crisp and refined, while the open collar gave it that laidback charm.

All Black, No Fuss
Paul Bettany kept things minimal in an all-black look, where the simplicity worked because the oversized proportions were on point, and there’s a quiet elegance about this.

Timelessness In Armani
Paul Anthony Kelly wore Armani, proving once again that a well-cut navy double-breasted suit will forever feel timeless.

Refined Minimalism
Jay Ellis opted for charcoal-grey tailoring styled with a black knit underneath instead of a traditional shirt, giving the look a smoother and more relaxed feel. The collarless jacket modernized the silhouette further.

Powder Blue Moment
Ke Huy Quan brought a welcome hit of colour in a powder-blue suit styled with a graphic black-and-white shirt and brown leather boots. The retro undertone could have tipped too novelty-driven, but his natural ease carried it effortlessly.
