Demi Moore Wore Gucci To ‘La Vie D’Une Femme’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

It’s day two of Demi Moore’s fashion fortnight, and the jury member was back on the red carpet for the Cannes Film Festival premiere of La Vie D’Une Femme held at the Palais des Festivals.

I’m completely hypnotized by this custom Gucci lilac draped off-the-shoulder gown.

The liquid-like sheen radiating from the fabric is what instantly captured my attention. Under the flash photography and evening lights, the gown almost glowed with an iridescent finish, while in softer lighting the colour shifted into something more muted and airy.

That contrast gave the gown a different personality depending on where she stood on the red carpet.

I’m also intrigued by the contrast in texture and transparency throughout the design. Certain sections appeared sheer and weightless, while other parts were densely layered, especially through the sweeping skirt and extended train. The draping definitely added depth to the silhouette.

While I do wish the custom Gucci lilac satin pumps had been sandals, which is almost always my preference with a slit gown, this was yet another striking Cannes moment from our forever Cannes Queen.

Chopard Haute Joaillerie jewels completed her look.
