Monica Bellucci Wore Fendi at the 2026 Locarno Film Festival
Monica Bellucci attended the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland, where the Italian actress was promoting her new film Ketticé, opting for two Fendi looks by Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Photocall
We shouldn’t be surprised to see Monica in Fendi, as she was front row for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s debut Couture show for the house last month.
Much like on that occasion, Monica opted not to wear black. This time, she opted for an ochre denim shirt and matching jeans, which might be an even bigger departure than the colour itself. I can’t recall the last time, if ever, I have seen Monica in denim.
Between Monica in denim and Isabelle Huppert embracing denim at the same festival, Locarno is suddenly becoming the place where actresses with instantly recognisable styles are taking a detour from their usual wardrobes.
The black top, bag and sunglasses keep enough of Monica’s signature style in the mix, but I’m enjoying seeing her in something so unexpected.

Premiere
But of course Monica would eventually return to her go-to colour, black, and her go-to fabric, lace, wearing a custom Fendi off-the-shoulder gown for the premiere.
You can look at this two ways. Why break with a formula that works? Monica looks absolutely gorgeous here – devastatingly so – it’s the kind of she has worn beautifully for years.
On the other hand, when you picture Monica Bellucci in a black lace gown, you immediately think of Dolce & Gabbana. So while Maria Grazia Chiuri is working within an aesthetic that suits Monica perfectly, I would love to see this new Fendi relationship establish a fashion language of its own.
