2026 BAFTAs Menswear
Here is a roundup of the rest of the menswear looks from last night’s 2026 BAFTAs.

Ivory Shift, Classic Return
So, Paul Mescal, a Gucci ambassador, wore Prada last night, and Joe Alwyn, a Dior ambassador, wore a custom Valentino look, which proves that nothing should be assumed. On this occasion, I welcomed the change. Archie Madekwe has the range to bring the eccentricities of Jonathan Anderson’s Dior to life, and for me, Joe is better suited to classic tailoring, as showcased in this ivory and black Valentino look styled with the Foliage brooch from the Chaumet Heritage Collection, along with a yellow gold Bee de Chaumet ring.
Styled by Rose Forde.

Custom In Name Only
Ladies and gentlemen, this is a custom suit. I know it is almost hard to believe. Aaron Pierre may be part of the tall and mighty community, which is BOSS’ speciality, but for me, they dropped the ball. Aside from the bow tie, little here feels convincingly custom, as the proportions are off. An OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional timepiece completed his look.

Fringe And Fearless
Alan Cumming, who hosted the evening, brought his usually eccentricities to the red carpet in this GIADA Spring 2026 ombre fringed coat styled with an Atlas Carré Royal Supernova brooch. The look was completed by kiss curls dyed in the colours of the Pride flag.
Styled by Sam Spector and Elena Garcia.

Strong Up Top, Questionable Below
I love everything about Bryan Cranston’s dunhill look from the cummerbund up. However, the trousers, especially from such a storied menswear house, leave much to be desired.

Trouser Masterclass
If you want to talk about perfect trouser length, look no further than Cillian Murphy’s custom Ferragamo black double-breasted suit. Cillian is not one to follow trends, yet he appears to be an early adopter of the white shirt and tie combination we have been seeing this week.
Styled by Rose Forde.

When Small Details Elevate
While I love how David Jonsson’s Hermès suit was elevated with small touches, from the colourful Hermès scarf worn as a tie to the floral brooch, the trousers would have benefitted from better grooming. This is why I am usually team shoes over boots on the red carpet, although Cillian’s boots above benefit from a wider cut that allows the trousers to sit cleanly over them. A Cartier vintage Vendôme timepiece completed his look.

Overcoat Overload
As you know, I am very much team long coat, but I wish Jack O’Connell had unbuttoned his dunhill overcoat. As styled, he is a top hat away from looking like the head doorman at The Savoy Hotel. An OMEGA timepiece completed his look.

Brown Suit Revival
If you have been suffering from brown suit withdrawals, Jay Lycurgo brought it back in this classic Armani tuxedo styled with Jimmy Choo Finnion shoes. You cannot beat Armani tailoring at its best. This is exquisite.

Jacquemus, But Make It Menswear
I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that Noah Jupe was wearing Jacquemus, as the silhouette mirrors what we’ve seen in the womenswear collections. It’s clearly not a silhouette he is used to, as his stance feels slightly Action Man-ish, but to be fair to him, he is selling the sculpted detailing. Jimmy Choo Wilder boots completed the look.

Timeless
Patrick Dempsey in a Brunello Cucinelli one-and-a-half-breasted shawl-lapel suit? It really doesn’t get much better than this. A TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon timepiece and on-trend red-carpet shades completed his look.
Styled by Marc Andrew Smith.

The Brooch Makes It
When it comes to Regé-Jean Page’s look, I want to say it’s all about the Canali suit, which it is, but the Desert Diamond dragonfly brooch by Hirsh London is what truly elevates it. A TAG Heuer Carrera Date Black Dial 39mm timepiece and Jimmy Choo Finnion Monkstrap shoes completed his look.
Styled by Holly Macnaghten.

Tailoring With Precision
No one does long trousers better than Anthony Vaccarello, as beautifully demonstrated by Riz Ahmed in Saint Laurent. It’s the fluidity of the fabric and the precision of the cut that prevent those unsightly breaks we see elsewhere on this carpet. The silhouette of the jacket and the no-shirt styling amplify the modern edge of the look. This was easily one of my favourites of the night.

Classic Stormzy
We haven’t seen Stormzy on the red carpet for a while, but the rapper showcased his usual style and flair in this Gucci classic suit, styled with an Elsa Peretti® Amapola brooch, Tiffany Lock bracelet and Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Acorn cuff links.

Season Standout
While I am waiting for Timothée Chalamet to grow back those boyish curls and start surprising us on the red carpet again, I must say this Givenchy by Sarah Burton custom look is arguably his strongest of the season so far.
Styled by Taylor McNeill.

Wide-Leg Authority
I could talk about Anthony Vaccarello’s tailoring all day. Tom Blyth delivered assured confidence in this slightly oversized, wide-leg Saint Laurent suit, styled with a Cartier brooch and Cartier Santos-Dumont timepiece.
Styled by Michael Fisher.

Brooch Game Strong
Wagner Moura’s classic Bottega Veneta suit was styled with the label’s Roma lace-up shoes, alongside an Anabela Chan Sakura Blossom brooch and an OMEGA De Ville Prestige timepiece.
Styled by Ilaria Urbinati.
