Celebrities at the 2026 BAFTAs
Here is a roundup from the 2026 BAFTA red carpet, which took place in London on Sunday.

Soft Pink, Soft Impact
I wish Aimee Lou Woodās Emilia Wickstead Pre-Fall 2026 dress had been in a different colour. Overall, this felt a bit one note. The silhouette is refined and the shoulder detail adds interest, but the muted blush tone drains some of the impact. Tiffany & Co. earrings, a Bird on a Rock bangle and a platinum ring set with a pink sapphire completed her look.

Silver Screen Glamour
Alia Bhatt really could have left her custom Gucci silver sequin dress to do all the talking, but the white shearling stole amplified the glamour even further. The halter silhouette and liquid shimmer already delivered full red carpet drama. The stole pushed it into classic movie star territory. David Morris jewels completed her look.

Thom Browne On Repeat
I have admired Audrey Nunaās expressive and unconventional style, which has seen her favour bold silhouettes this awards season. But her overreliance on Thom Browne is starting to make these looks feel repetitive. Like, can we play another song on that banjo? In this Spring 2023 outing, she does not appear comfortable. The outfit is wearing her. This was my least favourite look of the night.

Tarot Inspired Craft
Director ChloƩ Zhao, often synonymous with understated dressing, made a strong impression in Gabriela Hearst. She wore the Isai dress from the Spring 2026 collection, crafted from repurposed fabrics and detailed with intricate laser-cut leaf motifs that created subtle texture and depth across the surface. The dress draws inspiration from the Le Soleil XIX tarot card from the Major Arcana of the Tarot de Marseille, symbolising joy, vitality and enlightenment. The symbolism adds an intellectual layer that feels entirely in step with her aesthetic.

Graphic Florals
Gillian Anderson wore a printed gown from the Roksanda Spring 2026 collection. The painterly motif and rich tones gave the look presence. It struck a confident balance between statement and sophistication.
Styled by Martha Ward.

Cape Expectations Met
Knowing how I feel about capes, I was always going to love Ginnifer Goodwinās Zuhair Murad Spring 2026 champagne-toned gown. Some might argue that the colour story needed to be bolder, but think the intricately adorned with geometric beadwork and cape make the statement. Marco Bicego jewels and a Tyler Ellis clutch completed her look.

Embroidered Authority
Glenn Close wore an Erdem Resort 2026 suit featuring intricate floral embroidery. The structured black tailoring contrasted beautifully with the delicate embellishment, which she complemented with her Roger Vivier clutch and shoes. Anabela Chan jewels completed a look that felt perfectly in step with her enduring elegance.

Velvet Revival
Jessie Ware wore a golden Etro velvet open-back dress styled with Bvlgari jewels. The retro inspired pattern, rich texture and warm tone suited her beautifully.
Styled by Ella Lucia.

Pleated Perfection
Kathryn Hahn wore a red pleated Lanvin Pre-Fall 2026 dress by Peter Copping.
Styled by Jordan Johnson Chung.

Classic McQueen, Personal Archive
Maggie Gyllenhaal wore an Alexander McQueen dress weāve seen a few times before, so it would not surprise me if the presenter pulled this from her own closet. The familiarity does not dull its impact; the sharp tailoring and sculpted lines still hold their own. De Beers jewels completed her look.

Repeat Performance, Still A Moment
Speaking of dresses we have seen before, Maura Higgins wore the same Andrea Brocca gown previously seen on Fan Bingbing. Much like the Chinese actress, the Irish presenter made it a moment, keeping the sheer opera gloves to heighten the drama and leaning fully into the theatrical silhouette.

Signature Bellucci
I know what you are thinking. We have seen Monica Bellucci in dresses much like this Saint Laurent design countless times before, and while that may be true, she still looks incredible. The off-the-shoulder neckline and streamlined shape are her comfort zone, and she wears them with ease. A striking necklace and the Roger Vivier Rose clutch completed her look.

Sculptural Swirls
Iām sure you looked at the swirling design on Posy Sterlingās red dress and said Gaurav Gupta Couture, because this has long been the signature of the Indian designer. I love how this design wraps and contours the body, creating fluid movement through the draped panels while framing the cutouts with precision. TASAKI jewels and Casadei Julia Camoscio pumps completed her look.
Styled by AimƩe Croysdill.

Soft Focus In Yellow
Rose Byrne looked pretty in a soft yellow Miu Miu gown, with Boucheron jewels complementing the delicate silver embellishments scattered across the bodice. The halter neckline and airy skirt gave this a lightness that felt fresh against the deeper tones seen elsewhere on the carpet.
Styled by Kate Young.

Textured And Toasty
I know many will liken Saja Kilaniās Bottega Veneta Spring 2026 cotton bouclĆ© dress to a fancy bathrobe, and the texture does lean that way, but I suspect she was the warmest person on this red carpet. The voluminous sleeves and full skirt made it feel cocoon-like, yet the clean lines kept it from veering into novelty. Bottega Venetaās Riva earrings and Sofia Intrecciato pumps completed her look.
