‘First Man’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

‘First Man’ Venice Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

There were many more models who joined Sara Sampaio and a host of stars including Naomi Watts and Claire Foy on the red carpet for the opening ceremony and the ‘First Man’ premiere during the 2018 Venice Film Festival today (August 29) in Italy.

Gabriella Wilde: Couture can often conjure up images of princess frou frou gowns, or piece that is decked out in embellishments, but this Ulyana Sergeenko Couture red gown has just as much impact, if not more, with its simple, effortless design. The look was styled with a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch.

Lottie Moss: Kate Moss’ sister was one of the many who opted for pink tonight. Her Ermanno Scervino bustier dress in draped tulle had a sheerness which managed to stave away any bubblegum saccharine vibes. With her René Caovilla ‘Cleo Maxi Strass’ sandals, she didn’t really need any jewelry.

Charlotte Le Bon In Christian Dior Haute Couture – ‘Blackkklansman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Charlotte Le Bon was one of the attendees at the Cannes Film Festival premiere of ‘Blackkklansman’ tonight (May 14). She joined Sonam Kapoor, Naomi Campbell and Jane Fonda.

I foresee this Christian Dior Fall 2017 Haute Couture dress not going down too well because of the overplayed sheer skirt.

There is an interesting three-dimensional quality with the different tones, but it’s the colours of the diaphanous fabric that I find to be the issue as opposed to the sheer fabrication itself.

They don’t really do anything for her nor do they create a striking finish with the other details. It’s a shame.

Front Row @ Dior Fall 2018

A rush of Dior darlings were in the front row of the Christian Dior Fall 2018 presentation during Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday (March 27).

Cara Delevingne: We may be over and done with the ‘Christian Dior’ banded underwear underneath the sheer gowns. But, I could fully get behind the undies here, as this was Cara’s version of a power suit and she commanded it splendidly. The black and grey tweed jacket, Dior beret, Dior earrings and Dior boots—not to mention her toned midriff—only added to the strong, stylized impact.

Lottie Moss: This Dior look from Lottie offered its own edgy rebelliousness by virtue of the black leather skirt that featured hand-painted embroidery, worn over a silk jumpsuit and styled with Dior ‘Naughtily-D’ cage boots. A Dior clutch rounded out the ensemble.

Charlotte Le Bon In Christian Dior Couture – Dior Ball

Charlotte Le Bon attended the Dior Ball at the Santona Palace on Wednesday (November 22) in Madrid, Spain.

She did so in some style wearing a Dior Haute Couture pale pink organza dress with a floral embroidered organza cape.

I love that despite the pretty pink hue, this look possesses plenty of drama; but I much prefer the look without the black organza head-piece.

For me it overcooks the look. The cape was impactful enough, nothing else was really needed.

The ensemble was also styled with Dior Fine Jewelry ‘Diorama Precieuse’ earrings and ring.

Charlotte Le Bon In Christian Dior – ‘La Promesse’ Paris Premiere

Charlotte Le Bon stepped out at the ‘La Promesse’ Paris premiere on Tuesday (November 21).

Christian Dior has been a fixture on the red carpet with countless celebrities donning the brand’s popular sheer dress with logo briefs and bra.

The French Canadian actress went in a different direction, teaming a Dior black silk bustier dress with a checkered wool jacket and Dior boots.

I love the fun, youthful feel the ensemble has with the jacket worn off her shoulders and the playful volume in the skirt.

Had it been a more formal affair, I would have said this is something better suited to a press conference. However, this was actually a more casual premiere so I think the separates were appropriate.

Paris Fashion Week ‘All-Denim’ Trend

Denim—in its many forms—is an eternally classic trend. But, Paris Fashion Week saw a number of darlings take their blues to the next level with head-to-toe looks.

And, what can we say, they certainly have good jeans, with this trio of unique Canadian tuxedos serving as proof.

At the Irving Penn exhibition private viewing, Charlotte Le Bon put her Christian Dior Fall 2017 denim to work for her with a work-wear aesthetic that took on casual-chic proportions.

Speaking of proportions, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda maximized hers at the Valentino Spring 2018 show with her Valentino Resort 2018 two-tone denim outfit. Though it also capitalized on the baggy and distressed trends, the end result was a cool-girl look done right.

When Erika Boldrin hit the streets of Paris, all eyes were on her in this oversized Balenciaga asymmetrical denim jacket that was so artfully askance that it even drew attention away from her vibrant accessories including a Loewe ‘Puzzle’ bag. I love how she partially tucked in the jacket to heighten the effect.

What did you make of the jean pool that hit Paris Fashion Week?
