Scarlett Johansson Wore Balmain On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert
After the 2025 Emmys, Scarlett Johansson is back to promoting her directorial debut Eleanor The Great, which first premiered in Cannes back in May. And if her arrival look is anything to go by, the momentum she’s been riding since her Jurassic World Rebirth press tour is set to carry her stylishly into the fall.

She stepped out in a strapless Balmain knitted dress that, at first glance, could read as simple. But look closer and you’ll see the subtle corset-inspired seams contouring the bodice before the silhouette narrows sleekly down the legs. It’s structured minimalism, and on Scarlett, it’s nothing short of breathtaking.
The magic, though, is in the styling. She could have taken the Angelina Jolie approach—letting simplicity speak for itself—but instead, she leaned into Balmain’s signature boldness. The Balmain gold buckle belt (a standout of the Pre-Fall 2025 collection), gleaming gold Sidney Garber jewels, and a perfectly applied red lip transformed the dress into something striking.
Finished with classic black sandals, the look was polished, and powerful. I can’t help but admire how effortlessly she balances modern glamour with timeless appeal. This one left me in awe.
Stylist: Kate Young.
