Celebrities in Chanel at the 2025 Emmy Awards

Petal-Soft Precision
Michelle Williams, nominated for Dying for Sex, brought that signature lightness she always leans into. At first glance, it looks like ruffles — but Chanel was more precise than that. Her pale pink bustier gown was built from layers of bias-cut chiffon flounces, each one shaped like a petal and overlapped down the column so they fell into a soft cascade. Tiny pearls anchored the hem, giving just enough weight for the chiffon to drop cleanly instead of floating away. It’s romantic without tipping into froufrou. The structure keeps it modern; the delicacy keeps it true to her.

And with Chanel High Jewelry — the N°5 Drop necklace, Knotted N°5 ring, and Coco Crush earrings — she didn’t need to add a single thing more.

Giving me the blues
Carrie Coon, nominated for The White Lotus: Season 3, went for a different Chanel mood. Her ice blue chiffon bustier dress came with all the bells and whistles: organza flowers, feathers, and crystal embellishments. However, something about this felt a little too close to promo-dress-meets-sweet-16 for an actress of Carrie’s calibre.

She had such a strong run of looks during the series press tour that this left me wanting more maturity. That said, her Chanel shoes let me know that there is focus on upgrading their footwear, so I’ll take that small victory. Her look was topped with Plume de Chanel earrings and a Jeanne ring from the Chanel High Jewelry collection.
