2022 Critics’ Choice Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more men on the red carpet on Sunday (March 13) for the 2022 Critics’ Choice Awards which took place in Los Angeles.

Andrew Garfield wore another custom suit from Saint Laurent which continues his 2022 awards season retro theme.

It was one of the most unique looks in terms of the relaxed tailoring and shimmering fabrication, which is why Andrew continues to stand out from his peers.

An OMEGA Constellation timepiece and David Yurman jewels completed his look.

D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, who is of Oji-Cree Anishinaabe, Chinese-Guyanese, and German heritage, wore a Givenchy Spring 2022 dust grey tailored jacket suit worn with a matching tank top with square collar and Givenchy Giv runner sneakers.

The best part of this look is his Whirling Log & Arrow which looks like it holds a cultural significance.

Jamie Dornan wore a custom Valentino look especially designed for him by Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli which he styled with an OMEGA Globemaster timepiece.

I loved how the tie matched the shirt on this occasion. It’s a small, but subtle twist.

When it comes to Jon Bernthal’s custom Dolce & Gabbana chocolate brown pinstripe suit, I think I love the cut more than anything else.

Is there such a thing as too many stripes on a pinstripe suit? If there is, this qualifies.

Brown suits were clearly the theme for Dolce & Gabbana at this event as Will Smith custom suit featured a trio of chocolate hues.

Again. The only thing I like here is the actual suit. The contrasting vest didn’t work for me as it doesn’t feel as expensive as everything else.

I think I’m firmly in a funk with Jared Leto and all things Gucci.

I know some of you have been screaming about this for so long and wondering what took me so long to catch up, but I want something new from him.

Even after saying all that, this is one of his better looks. Much better than the SAG Awards disaster.

Jeremy Strong was also part of the brown suit wearing crew, wearing this Givenchy Spring 2022 tailored look featuring the U-lock jacket, and tank top with square collar which we saw on D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai.

He only needed to shorten the trousers a touch for this to be perfect.

Ansel Elgort wore a suit from the Fendi’s Winter Capsule 2022 featuring a tailcoat.

At first I felt that the combination of the tailcoat, and black and white Manolo Blahnik shoes was a bit too costumey. But I swiftly jumped onboard with the pomp and circumstance of it all.

Cartier High Jewelry completed his look

Sterling K. Brown used to be at the forefront of menswear, now all his looks roll into one. At least he was on trend with this dark brown Tom Ford subtle plaid Atticus suit.
