2022 BAFTAs Menswear Red Carpet Roundup
Here is the (rather late) roundup from the men who joined a host of lovely ladies on the red carpet for the 2022 BAFTAs on Sunday (March 13) in London.
There were many great menswear looks, but I had to start with Daniel Kaluuya.
The actor had a great run for the 2021 Awards Season, but I have felt indifferent to everything else he has worn until this moment.
When I saw the British actor in this Prada Fall 2022 blue tech coat embellished with teal-coloured mohair details, I was surprised that this wasnât custom made, because this style is so right for him.
He’s a big man with a big presence so this big coat made him stand out on this red carpet.
The coat was obviously the focus of this look, so he opted not to wear a classic tux, as he rocked a turtleneck and black trousers, finishing off the look with Prada shoes.
This is my all-time favourite look from him after his Alexander McQueen look from last year’s BAFTAs.
If you want tailoring with a twist, look no further than Kodi Smit-McPhee.
The late Virgil Abloh may longer be at the helm of Louis Vuittonâs menswear, but his style, and unique tailoring is apparent throughout this look.
Kodiâs Louis Vuitton custom suit will be a tough act to follow this year.
Yes itâs only March, and weâre yet to see what TimothĂ©e Chalamet is going to serve up this year, but so far this is my favourite menswear look of the year.
I remember when I used to hate sneakers with suits, then Joshua Jackson eased me into the combo as a chic look, now I canât picture Kodiâs suit without these Louis Vuitton Tatic sneakers
âPam & Tommyâ actor Sebastian Stan wore a traditional tuxedo from Givenchy with a shirt which was accented with metallic details which I guess you would say is also traditional for the brand.
Givenchy black leather squared derbies completed his look.
âI May Destroy Youâ actor Paapa Essiedu was of course wearing a Gucci look, the pussy bow shirt was the giveaway.
I love how the bow is undone for a more relaxed feel, which doesnât take away any of the elegance of this look.
Bvlgari jewellery added the final touch along with his monk strap shoes.
Max Harwood continued his love affair with all things Moschino wearing a Pre-Fall 2022 three-piece suit.
I love how Max opted to keep uphold his usual flair, by only turning the notch down a tiny bit for the ceremony, following his sequin suit for the pre-event.
I was really excited about white boots. Much to my surprise.
