Penelope Cruz Wore Chanel Haute Couture To The 2021 MoMA Film Benefit

The Museum of Modern Art honoured Penelope Cruz at their annual Film Benefit which was held in New York on Tuesday (December 14), where they raised funds to ensure that great works of cinema continue to join the collection of The Museum of Modern Art.

Penelope was of course dressed in Chanel Haute Couture, but I was surprised to see her in red, especially when there was a black version presented during the Fall 2020 collection.

But this was her night, so I’m glad to see her opt for this stand out shade of red, even if this is quite the familiar silhouette for Penelope.

Do I love this look?

I love the colour and the embellishments, but I prefer the moire fabric on the original dress in the look book.

I would’ve been fully on board with Penelope’s look if she’d worn a complementary pair of shoes, and she opted to slick back those home cut bangs, or are they those stick on bangs?

Either way, the hair kinda kills this for me.
