Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup from the fellas which caught my eye this week.

Starting with British-Pakistani actor Riz Ahmed who wore a custom Prada look to the ‘Encounter’ LA premiere on Thursday (December 2).

Before I get to the point of adding Bordeaux and light pink to my list of favourite colour combinations, what I love most about this custom look is how it blends western (jacket) and Pakistani (kameez kurta shirt) styles.

Black brushed leather Prada boots completed his look.

Forest Whitaker was the most surprising of the week, as the actor stepped into the spotlight wearing a Thom Browne Made to Measure classic three-piece suit to the 2021 Gotham Awards.

The burgundy shadow stripe flannel suit was styled with black brogues which I wish were also burgundy.

But that can be forgiven considering the inch perfect cut of this suit.

Josh Andres Rivera joined Rachel Zegler on the red carpet for the ‘West Side Story’ New York premiere wearing a Gabriela Hearst suit with Bruno Magli shoes.

Dan Levy and Thom Browne are a combination we of course wanted to see.

But you might be surprised to see that Dan opted for one of the American designers’ more muted tailored looks.

Even the signature 4-bar flannel was tonal.

With that being said, I really enjoyed this outing.  More so than the 80s sitcom cop look he gave us at the GQ Awards.

Daveed Diggs was not to be missed at the 2021 Gotham Awards.

The ‘Black-ish’ actor dazzled in his navy sequin Prada coat, which brought so much energy to his Prada black suit.

He wasn’t quite done with this bling which his Prada loafers and chains will testify.
