Thandiwe Newton was stateside for the Warner Bros. Pictures premiere for ‘Reminiscence’ held at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Tuesday (August 17) in Hollywood, California.
You were quite lukewarm to the actress’ Alexander McQueen dress for the London premiere, much to my surprise, so I’m curious to know how you feel about this Atelier Versace Fall 2020 dress.
For me, I’m really struggling to get on board with this fringed dress, and I’m not sure what exactly is my main issue, as I have many.
This look doesn’t present the modern she usually presents. I think that is a polite way of me saying this feels a little dated.
I’ve never been the greatest fan of mixing metals so that is also putting me off.
The random chiffon train enhanced the magic of Jennifer Hudson’s Dolce & Gabbana look at the ‘Respect’ LA premiere, yet it makes no sense to me here, and why is it cuffed to her wrist?
Finally, yes we are moving into Fall, but the dark cherry lip feels so moody for this dress.
Beautiful from the neck up – as always – and I love the ALEVí Milano ‘Gloria’ sandals, but this is the first time I can say that I do not love a Thandiwe Newton look and it’s shaken me to my core.
