Jennifer Hudson Wore Dolce & Gabbana To The ‘Respect’ LA Premiere

Jennifer Hudson gave us her Sunday best while attending the Los Angeles premiere of MGM’s ‘Respect’ held at Regency Village Theatre on Sunday (August 8) in California.

I don’t know about you, but this is the moment I have been waiting for all year.

In fact, I have been waiting for this moment since it was announced that she would be playing Aretha Franklin in this movie.

And Jennifer didn’t disappoint.

I was expecting a look worthy of an icon, legend, diva, and this custom made draped purple sequin dress delivered.

This is what happens when you have a style team -Wayman and Micah – who understood the assignment, the history, and magnitude of this moment.

I have a feeling some will like this until a point, with the point being the silk chiffon veil.

And yes. It does feel a bit random, but damn it looks so so pretty; marrying high octane with a sweet femininity.

Honestly.  I wouldn’t change a thing.
