‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings’ LA Premiere Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The men were just as well dressed as the ladies who took to the red carpet on Monday (August 16) for Disney’s premiere of ‘Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings’ held at El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles, California.

We have to start with the leading man, Simu Liu who wore a custom Dzojchen kimono tuxedo suit.

It’s the representation for me, followed by the sleekness of the satin suit.

Chains worn over a shirt, even a collarless one has never been my favourite flex, but I’m buying everything the actor is selling here, right down to the monk strap shoes.

Screenwriter Dave Callaham wore a suit that should be familiar to you on account of the ombre effect, as this is the same treatment Leslie Odom Jr.’s 2021 SAG Awards Berluti Fall 2021 suit had.

On this occasion the colours stay within the purple family, but that didn’t make this look any less impactful on the red carpet.

This was a summer premiere, so I’m glad he opted out of wearing the turtleneck which was Leslie’s signature piece for all his looks during awards season.

As much as I love Mark Tuan’s Stella McCartney suit – the loose fit and colour especially – I just can’t get on board with the shoe choice.

In the battle of the oversized suits and vest top combo styling, Dallas Liu opted for a much better look by pairing brown shoes with his tan Martin Asbjørn oversized suit.

If you’re looking for something more classic, look no further than Ronny Chieng’s J.Crew suit.

The Malaysian comedian supported this history-making film in impeccable fashion wearing my preferred style of menswear blazer – the shawl collar.  I just adore how they present a cleanly cut profile.

The Cinabre red flower pin adds to the overall elegance.

I love the smart, yet laidback feel of Daniel Dae Kim’s look, which features slip on loafers…with NO socks.

Could Jayden Zhang look any cuter in his Thom Browne striped suit?
