‘A Felesegam Tortenete/The Story Of My Wife’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Marta Lozano in Lorenzo Caprile Cannes Film Festival

The Cannes Film Festival premiere for ‘A Felesegam Tortenete/The Story Of My Wife’ this evening (July 14) in France, saw more than just Poppy Delevingne and Sharon Stone hit the red carpet.

As a lover of capes, and the colour red, I was instantly drawn to Marta Lozano wearing this creation from Lorenzo Caprile.

You guessed it.  I’m addicted to the drama, much like Nieves Alvarez wearing Etro to the ‘Les Miserables’ 2019 Cannes Film Festival premiere.

The one thing I would change about it is to place the buttons at the back.

The look was styled with jewelry by Messika.

Luna Wedler’s floral Valentino Spring 2021 dress has pretty much everything I need: colour, floral print.

Yet looking at it on the red carpet, I feel like this should’ve been saved for a Tracee Ellis Ross Instagram editorial look, as perhaps she is one of the few who could pull this off.

I also would’ve said that this is perfect for Maya Rudolph as it suits her style, but she already wore a similar look from the same collection to the 2021 Golden Globe Awards.

Model Hana Cross had a moment with feathers and diamonds courtesy of Rami Kadi, who presented this Couture gown during his Retrospective 10 presentation, which celebrated a decade of success for the designer.

I think this look didn’t need the reverse choker, those earrings with the ear jacket were enough in my opinion.

Karidja Touré Cannes Film Festival

French actress Karidja Touré opted out of wearing a gown, following in the footsteps of Melanie Laurent by wearing a tuxedo.

The studded detailing throughout ensured this Tommy Hilfiger look possessed plenty of glamour.

Chiara Sampaio looks absolutely beautiful in this Rami Kadi Spring 2020 Couture pink embellished dress, but I feel like I’ve seen this corset style dress a thousand times before.

Bella Hadid in Ralph & Russo Couture for the 2017 amfAR Gala Cannes, Alessandra Ambrosio in Ralph & Russo Couture for the 2018 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, Rita Ora in Ralph & Russo Couture for the Luisaviaroma For Unicef Charity Event and Ciara in Ralph & Russo Couture for the 2020 Vanity Fair Party immediately spring to mind.

There’s a bit of an R&R theme going there.

I would really love for the new wave of models to give us something a bit different to really stamp their own signature.

Sofia Resing Cannes Film Festival

I keep looking at the top half of Sofia Resing‘s custom Nicolas Jebran neon yellow dress and thinking that portion would look great on a swimsuit.

Pomellato jewels from the Catene collection and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals completed her look.
