The BRIT Awards 2021 Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more ladies who graced the red carpet for The BRIT Awards 2021, on Tuesday (May 11) in London.

You didn’t think this event would pass without some pleated ruffles, did you?

Rina Sawayama, who was nominated as Rising star, shut down the red carpet wearing a Balmain Spring 2019 Haute Couture purple gown.

This is Olivier Rousteing’s contemporary interpretation of fairytale-inspired gown for the modern – Balmain – woman.

I’m just glad this vision included a bandeau on the red carpet.

Former Female Solo Artist Award winner Mabel stood out wearing a bold green dress from Tony Ward.

I’m sure you would’ve recognised the designer on account of the embellished detailing and the opera gloves, as we have seen these details on Sui He and Bella Thorne.

It appears that theme of the night was retro, because along with Dua Lipa and Mabel, that is what I am getting from Raye’s custom Etro look.

The singer channelled her inner Marilyn Monroe in ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ from her pink silk satin corseted dress with Swarovski embroidery, to the matching opera gloves and Bvlgari jewels.

The embellished detailing on Maya Jama’s blazer and skirt are the signatures that are known to Area.

What I didn’t like about this look was her decision to match her shoes and a statement Bvlgari necklace with the outfit.

It was all a little toooo much. Let the two-piece make the statement.

I really didn’t get The Haim sisters all Prada looks from the 2021 Grammys. It kinda freaked me out a little bit.

On this occasion the co-ordinated dressing was infinitely more chic in The Row.

Arlo Parks joined Harry Styles in being one of the few guests to opt for tailoring on the red carpet.

The singer also wore Gucci.  Donning a burgundy checked suit, which she styled with a pink shirt.

I can’t say I love the chunky black shoes here, but as someone who is yet to wear heels in 2021, I can’t really pass judgment.

Could opera glove be makig a comeback?

According to Mabel and Lianne Las Havas they are.

Lianne paired her leather gloves with a stunning dress from Schiaparelli’s Spring 2021 Haute Couture.

The dress is really the only thing I like about the look. The styling is very questionable.

Celeste’s has a very unique style, which you either appreciate, or you don’t.

It felt like the majority landed in the latter during awards season, but on this occasion she kept things simple by her standards wearing a black Ashley Williams Fall 2020 feathered dress.

However, some may feel that she is doing way too much with the addition of the white feathered headpiece.

Personally, I love this from head-to-toe. She continues to stand out and impress for me.
