Former president Barack Obama and Michelle Obama were at the U.S. Capitol for the inauguration ceremony of Joe Biden, who became the 46th president of the United States today (January 20).
I don’t know about you, but I gasped when I saw the former First Lady on the screen, and that was only for her hair.
The goosebumps then started to rise when I got a full view of her Sergio Hudson custom creation inspired by the designers Fall 2020 collection.
I mean, what a way to make an entrance.
In my mind with every step I could hear the intro to Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’ song.
And if Michelle was to turn to the camera and say, “You ready?”
I would cry, “Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh, oh, no, no. I wasn’t prepared for this level of slayage.”
This look, and her aura just had such a transfixing, magnetic energy I couldn’t take my eyes off her.
This maroon colour is so beautiful. It seems that the political trend was to go matchy matchy today, and I’m so here for it.
I don’t want to take anything away from this moment, but some matching boots would’ve seen me give this look two chefs kisses, instead of one.
Michelle completed her look with black Stuart Weitzman Vernell boots.
