2020 Critics Choice Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

2020 Critics Choice Awards Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

As always, we can’t forget the efforts of the men on the red carpet, and they more than merit a mention with their sharp suits and bold colours at the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards, which was held at the Barker Hangar on Sunday (January 12) in Santa Monica, California.

Jharrel Jerome: The actor, who won the Critics Choice Award for Best Actor in a Limited Series for ‘When They See Us,’ gave suiting a new spin when he hit the red carpet wearing a look from the Louis Vuitton Spring 2020 collection. I love the ’80s nostalgia imbued in the cut and colours.  This look was not only fitting for the era in which his film is set, but also for the 22 year-old actor who wants to look smart, yet bring his own personality to the event. His suit was styled with LV sneakers and an LV silver chain.

Andrew Scott:  Also a winner on the night, the ‘Fleabag’ actor collected the Best Actor in a Comedy series wearing a suit from Berluti.  I love that he didn’t swap out the hot pink shirt as black wouldn’t have been so enticing.  When I saw Andrew’s Christian Louboutin shoes, I wish this had been an option for Chris Evans last week.  It was mostly because of the shoes that I didn’t make him my best dressed last week.

Sam Heughan:  Usually I love mixed materials when it comes to suiting, especially when the blazer is velvet, but I would’ve preferred the full velvet look here.  Louboutin shoes and David Yurman accessories completed his look.

Christopher Abbott: Nominated for Best Actor In A Limited Series Or Movie Made For Television for ‘Catch-22,’ the actor was giving me what I needed wearing a full, lush emerald velvet suit from Todd Snyder.  I love how clean, modern and sharp this feels without a tie.

Sterling K Brown:  The actor looks very sharp in his Isaia burgundy suit, but I feel he over played it with both the printed tie and shirt. An Omega timepiece, and his signature shades completed his look.

Justin Hartley:  The actor always leaves a lasting impression on the red carpet.  This time wearing a custom three-piece suit from Isaia styled with an Omega timepiece.

Jaeden Martell:  The 17-year-old It actor was keen to showcase is own unique sense of style stepping out wearing a pastel green suit from the Amiri Spring 2020 collection. In this instant opting for white like the runway would’ve given off too much of a summery feel, so I like how he opted for black with this suit, as it gives the overall look an edge.

Asante Blackk:  At first I thought the fit of his gray and black pinstripe Prada suit was off, but I think these are the exact, slightly outsized proportions.

Adam Driver: The actor stayed true to his signature, classic style in Saint Laurent.

Milo Ventimiglia: The actor stood out thanks to the camel tuxedo jacket of his Brunello Cucinelli look.  Tod’s patent lace-ups and Montblanc cufflinks completed his look.

Noah Jupe:  I’m sure even those of you who don’t like logos, will appreciate how much fun and youthful flare this Gucci look brought to the this young actors style.
