October 10, 2019 Runway To Red Carpet

Julianne Moore, Lady In Red, For Vogue’s 3rd Annual Forces of Fashion Conference

Vogue’s 3rd Annual Forces of Fashion Conference took place today (October 10), in New York City with Julianne Moore and Tom Ford in attendance.

The designer was looking as sharp as ever in his own Windsor suit with Private Collection sunglasses, but I can’t take my eyes off Julianne.

Let’s first give thanks that she opted to wear colour.

Then, let swoon over that lush oxblood red velvet Tom Ford Fall 2019 blazer.

Does velvet and duchesse satin even go well together?

On this outing alone, I would say a very strong, yes.

Those of you who aren’t matchy fans will appreciate how the look is broken up with an aubergine turtleneck.

I think full red look may not have been as powerful, despite the strong hue of the colour.

This is tailoring done so right, as the designer continues to define strong feminine styles, and Julianne continues to be his perfect muse.

But shouldn’t really be that surprised…this is Tom Ford after all.

I love this on her…but I wish the pants weren’t so wrinkled. I love red on a redhead.

I don’t like this on her at all. the fit is bad. Ill never think red is her color.

It’s a great colour on her. Love the suit, not so much the turtleneck.

Maybe it’s just creases but I’m not loving the satin pants. But the mix materials and shades is done chicly. The longer pants are definitely better than runway styling.

The angle of the photo and lighting really helps sell this. I think the sandals do a subtle job of breaking up the color.

    Tom Ford tailoring to perfection!!!!!
I love the mix of fabrics and the red with the burgundy – what a divine colour on Julianne.

Is there a shade of dark red that she is not wearing? I am not digging this one.

I really like this matchy color and unmatchy fabrics in bright red. The total look has a nonchalant coolness note that is working wonders to Julianne.

LOVE the mix of fabrics, and what a hypnotizing shade of red! The saturation of the color reminds me of Ford’s designs for YSL in the early 2000’s. Also the tailoring of Julianne’s pants is so much better than the relaxed fit on the runway.
